After the first day of conference relays were rained out we tried to run the entire meet on one day with only the two mile being eliminated.  Overall it was a decent day for the Lions finishing in 5th place on Varsity and 4th on JV out of the nine conference teams.  The relay format doesn't really highlight the individual strengths on teams and is only a slight indication of things to come in the Conference Meet at the end of the year.  At the end of the day, however the Lions still have some hard work ahead of them in order to make this a successful season.

I will post some results from the meet as soon as they are available.  Our next meet is Thursday at Herculaneum.  Our first task is getting healthy.  Distance runners are supposed to be running five miles a day over the break, and eveyone else needs to do stretching, jogging and plyos every day.
