Over 50 athletes were out for the boys track and field team on the first day, and I expect numbers to grow over the first week.  We have a strong contengent of talented athletes and a big group of freshman.  Overall the program looks strong and the future looks bright.  Right now however, there is a lot of hard work to be done in order to make sure that the Varsity team is competing on a high level right away.  I think almost everyone will be a little sore in the morning!
