It was an exciting day to be a Lion's Cross Country runner or fan!  The girls cross country team broke through with a good team effort, a sixth place finish, and two qualifiers for the sectional meet!  Megan Bailey and Meaggen Cooksey will be representing Northwest next weekend at Jefferson Barracks.

The boys team turned in their best team effort of the season due in part to the emergence of a fifth man.  The entire team qualified for sectionals and the top five runners were all under 18:30.

Zach Kassman led the Lions to a third place finish winning the district meet with a 16:40.  Sectionals will be this Saturday, so be ready to come watch the runners attempt to make it to state!
