| MusicYakMagazine May2005 Ode to Nowhere, Giraffes "Another terrible release from Fingrinhoe's 'finest'. Like a disease, Giraffes only get worse with time. The rythm section continue to be devoid of rythm whilst the guitar is at least out of time if not playing a completely different song. The vocals on the other hand enter a whole new arena of appallingness. From the screeching opening to the grinding drawn out growl of a crucendo this has to be the worst vocal perforamance i have ever witnessed. How they are allowed to keep making 'music' is beyond me" 0/10 Peter Hangingbaskets, MYM |

| GIGTRONIC Bradford Ballroom, Dec 2004 "Never before have i been witness to such a disasterous gig. Giraffes will have to be driving a bulletproof van if they ever plan on returning to this part of Yorkshire. Having arrived late they took to the stage to a muted applause, which turned into a fierce boo as they announced the guitarist had been taken to hospital (after falling out of the back door of the tourbus as they pulled out of the Cock and Feathers in Fingrinhoe) and wouldnt be playing. The fact that they carried on the gig without the guitarist is testament only to the combined stupidity of this bunch of talentless halfwits. The fact that they got out of Bradford alive is astonishing. Only managed 4 songs, all of which sounded like someone trying to talk over the sound of a washing machine on fast spin." Ian Rush |
