With his slim figure, the amber-coloured eyes and silky, silvery coat, the very least one could say is that the Weim is a noble looking animal. It is an attractive proposition for people who like a high-class dog by their side, all the more chic since it is quite unusual. However the dog itself is far more than just a fashion accessory, its natural inclination is to run around investigating the beguiling scents of the country.

If you are not a hunter , long excursions to the country are imperative , particularly if you live in a flat. In general terms , your behaviour with this particular breed of dog must , above all ,be consistent.

No shouting or screaming , only wisdom and patience are needed in training. In this way its character , kindness and docility will appear quite naturally.

There's no need to train them as guard dogs, they have an innate protective instinct . When a Weimaraner is at its station on the steps of the house , watching the coming and going of passers-by, very little will distract it.

Weims are good- all round hunting dogs. They are marvellous at searching out game, and will explore an area to the full, retrieving on any terrain. They show few signs of fear and is brave and eager to obey orders. They will not hesitate to launch themselves into water; no matter how cold it is-they seem impervious.once it has the bird in its mouth, the weimaraner is careful not to damage it and brings it back to the shooter intact.

They are not as fast as the other breeds of pointer but their pointing skills cannot be faulted, with muscles tensed, one foreleg raised. Tail held horizontally, he stands as still as a statue as he indicates where the game is hiding. The weimaraner is also effective for hunting injured game because of their scenting capability.

In the home the Weimaranes makes a very good pet. Friendly, good-tempered, lively and alert without being too excitable, they pose few problems and always look on the bright side of life.

If he loves his owner and judges him or her worthy of trust, he is largely docile and obedience. He is the ultimate dog!!!!!!!
