I've seen several web sites that attempt to "cast" people for the roles of the characters in the Dark Tower series, should it ever be made into a movie. While some of my choices seem a bit banal or trite, I think they are the best for their role until somebody can help me think of someone better! At least, these are how I imagine the characters in my theater of my mind's eye. I will just leave it at that. If you don't know what these books are, please stop wasting your time on this silly web site and get to your local library and check out, The Gunslinger by Stephen King! Roland Deschain is played by Clint Eastwood

Eddie Dean is played by Jason Patric

Sussanah Dean (aka Odetta Holmes, Detta Walker) is played by Sanaa Lathan

Jake Chambers is played by Mitchel Musso

Father Callahan (from 'Salem's Lot and The Wolves of the Calla) is played by Robert Duvall

Pretty good, huh? I am well-pleased with Eddie Dean, whom I thought was the most difficult character to "cast". If anyone out there has read these books and has any suggestions, I am all ears. Back to Books Main Menu
