Hi everyone. This page is here for me to have a little discussion about names. Names are really interesting and useful things. Almost everybody has one. I have one, too. My name is Giordano. For those of you who may be confused, my name is pronounced "Jor-daw-noe". It's not really as hard as it looks! Looks can be intimidating!
Most people can't say my name very well. When I introduce myself to somebody, I commonly hear,
"Wow! Don't expect me to remember that!" as well as
"Forgive me but I'll probably never pronounce that correctly!"
I'd just like to talk about some of the things people have called me by mistake. I will, of course, exclude any names people have called me because they were insulting me or just trying to be funny.
