This is an afghan comprised of 224 individual granny squares. I used a variety of synthetic yarns, though some had small percentages of wool or cotton blended in. It took me about a month and a half to complete, and was finished in March 2004.
This is a purse made of 1 strand Lion Brand Homespun in the "Gothic" shade, and two strands of Bernat Boa; one strand each Tweety Bird and Parrot. Using a 10mm (US size N) hook, this was completed in one day.
More purses like the above, except that these use only one strand of Boa and one strand of a thicker yarn. The solid black one was the prototype from which i've patterned the others.
Another purse, and a pair of mittens. I made the mittens for myself. They use one strand of Boa and one strand of 100% wool worsted weight yarn. If you look below the thumbs of each, you'll see a little brown spot. These are buttons in the shape of acorns. I put them there because i'm nuts.
I made these as a gift. They scare the crap out of me.

This is my anniversary gift to my parents. It's a bit smaller than the black, white, and blue one i made for myself--it's only made up of 168 squares. This took about a month and a half to make, and was completed in April 2004.
More yarn ahead!
