Just released on Diaphragm records, this "7 split with Columbus pals Black Love (Awesome drunk punk rock 'n roll) rules. The Creeps decided to take a step back on this one - while still relying on a 'hardcore' songwriting formula, the songs are extremely punk in essence - fast and melodic, with an emphasis on hooks and catches vs. their traditional style of heavy breakdowns. Of course, the lyrical belittling is still there - the bonus track 'Indie Rock?' is The Creeps hillarious tribute to trend-whore college bands and sensative emo kids everywhere, and the artwork alone on this "7 is well worth the 3 bucks.
