| PARENT CHECKLIST 1. Send your child to school everyday with a reassuring hug and an "I love you." This will give them the confidence they need to do their best. 2. Be sure your child has the supplies he/she needs to work at school. 3. Ask them every day what they learned, what activities they did, and how they felt about school. 4. Attend parent conferences. Let your child know you are interested in what they are doing. 5. Give your child at least 30 minutes of your time every night to help with homework or to read to them. |

| HOUSEKEEPING ITEMS Remember to complete all the papers in the registration packet and return them as soon as possible. Please do your best to schedule doctor's appointments, etc. for after school hours. I need your child every minute of the day to give them a solid education. School begins at 7:45. Have your child at school before that time so they may prepare items for the day. If your child needs to eat breakfast at school, please have them here at 7:20. Our school day ends at 2:45, you may come at 2:30 to pick up your child. However, please wait at the front doors until we come down the hallway. This is for the safety of all children. RECOMMENDED SCHOOL SUPPLY LIST 2002-2003 1 plastic two pocket folder 5 green two pocket folders without prongs 2 spiral bound 1 subject notebooks Pencils - NO lead pencils please Pencil top erasers 4 glue sticks Crayons - nothing larger than 24 1 pair of Fiskars scissors A good pencil bag - NO BOXES 1 bottle of hand sanitizer 2 boxes of Kleenex If your child chooses to bring a bookbag to school, please label it with your child's name. I DO NOT permit bookbags that have wheels. Please do not label anything but the crayons, scissors, and pencil bag with your child's name. |
