CORKY
Corky was born in March, 1965 and passed away shortly before Thanksgiving 1978 of liver failure.

Corky was part cocker spaniel and part dachsund.  He had the little short dachsund legs and the long fur of a cocker spaniel.  Sometimes he would trip over his own fur when he ran.

He loved to go camping with the family.  He loved everyone.  At Christmas time, Corky would steal the candy canes off the Christmas tree.  Corky and Puffy were the best of friends.  They would play and chase each other.

In the first picture above, I am pushing Corky around in the baby stroller.
PUFFY
Puffy was born on December 29, 1966 and passed away on April 20, 1983 of kidney failure.

Puffy's best friend was the dog, Corky.  They played and played.  They would chase each other around the house.  We had two scares with Puffy.  When we lived in Dayton, Puffy was hit by a car.  She survived and suffered no permanent damage.  Then when we lived in Houston, Puffy disappeared for a few days.  Puffy had been hit by a car again and had limped home.  We found her hiding in the old club house furniture.  She survived once again and suffered no permanent damage.

Puffy used to like to watch the weather bullentins run across the bottom of the television and enjoyed wathcing race cars too.  She would go behind the television looking for them.

For Christmas, Puffy would receive a catnip toy.  One Christmas we put the toy high up in the tree and went out for the evening.  When we came home, Puffy had knocked the tree over, getting her Christmas present early.
