Shoot A Prayer
       ©by Lindy Curtis

As we walk the path that's narrow
Shoot a prayer, not an arrow. *

Arrow wound but prayers bless
Bringing peace and happiness.

For a stranger or a friend,
Prayers we can freely send.

And, in this way, help to heal
The hurts that others may conceal.

So let's be slow to criticize,
And look instead with loving eyes.

And if relationships go sour,
Sweeten them with prayer power.

Shooting prayers is easily done,
It's God's warfare without a gun.

The devil hopes our prayers are few
Because he knows what prayer can do.

God says we're special, even the sparrow,
So shoot a prayer, not an arrow.
