Thank You God
I've seen a rainbow
painted by God's hand.
I've seen the sculptures created by blowing sand.
I've watched an eagle soar on high.
I've camped out under a star filled sky.
I've watched the sun set on an ocean of waves.
I've lain in the cool grass on a warm spring day.
I've savored the aroma of fresh mown hay.
I've heard the first cries of a newborn child.
I've heard the bellow of an elk, free and wild.
I've held a newborn baby in my arms.
I've known the pleasures of a lady's charms.
I've felt the pride of a difficult task completed.
I've felt the pain of being defeated.
I've experienced the anguish of a loved one lost.
I've sacrificed pride, without thought to the cost.
I've been from one end of this country to the other and back.
I've had so many friends of whom I've lost track.
All these things I've seen and more.
I can't wait to see what else God has in store.
