Chapter Two

"What's wrong?" Ryver asked as Rapyd ran in her kitchen. Rapyd quickly wiped her eyes.

       "Nothin'," Rapyd replied.

"Bet you it had something to do with that other guy," Vegeta-sama said, leaning against. the counter.

"Well, yeah," Rapyd admitted. "He wasn't like this before..."

"Before what?" asked Ryver. Rapyd sighed.

"Its a long story," Rapyd finally said.

"Its okay. You can tell us," said Ryver. So Rapyd told Ryver and Vegeta-sama the Dimension Key story.

"Oh," Ryver said when Rapyd was finished. "So that's how you got here." Rapyd nodded.

       "Well I don't believe it," Vegeta-sama said.

"Oh yea? Watch this," Rapyd said. She closed her eyes, and her body glowed golden. The Dimension Key appeared in her hand. Vegeta's expression didn't change.

"Hrmp. So what?" he said, walking out of the room.

"Don't mind him. He's being a big pain in the butt right now because of Vegeta-chan. I guess I better find you a place to sleep," Ryver said.

"Kay," Rapyd replied. Ryver led Rapyd upstairs to where the bedrooms were.

"This is me and Vegeta's room, and this is Lin's room, and this is Zegeta's room," Ryver said, pointing to the three bedrooms.

"And this is the bathroom," she said, opening a door. "Don't need to go in there," she said, closing the door.

"And here is the guest room," Ryver said when they reached the end of the hall. "You and Vegeta-chan can stay in here," Ryver said. Ryver looked at Rapyd.

"Or he could sleep on the couch downstairs," Ryver added.

       "Okay," Rapyd said, nodding.

"Oh look outside! It's already dark! I need to get the kids to bed!" Ryver said, running towards her children's rooms. "I guess you should get to bed too," Ryver added. Rapyd opened the door to the guest room.

       "What about pjs?" asked Rapyd.

"Just a sec," Ryver said, running into her bedroom. A minute later she came back out with a t-shirt and flannel pants.

"Here. Just use these for now," Ryver said, tossing them to Rapyd.

"Thanks," Rapyd replied, catching them. Ryver nodded, and went into Lin's room. Rapyd walked into the guest room and shut the door. The shades were pulled down so she changed into the pajamas.

"Why can't Vegeta be like before?" Rapyd wondered, walking over to the window. She drew up the shade, and since it was a warm summer night, opened the window. Rapyd sighed as she drew back the covers of the bed and turned off the light. Rapyd climbed under the covers and stared up at the ceiling. Suddenly there was a noise at the window. Rapyd looked over and there Vegeta-chan was, hovering outside the window.

"Go away," Rapyd said, "I'm trying to sleep."

"Hey, I just came to apologize," he said. "Can I come in?" Vegeta asked.

       "No."

"I'm staying here too," Vegeta said, flying in.

"You ain't sleeping in this bed," Rapyd warned. Vegeta smiled.

"I can sleep just fine on the floor," he said, sitting on the floor next to the bed.

"Good. Now about that apology...," Rapyd said.

"Oh, yeah. Well, I'm sorry, I guess," Vegeta said, looking at Rapyd.

"Hrmp," Rapyd said, turning over. "If you think that's going to make it better, you're wrong."

"You're the one who asked for the apology," Vegeta said, laying down.

"Vegeta...," Rapyd said, closing her eyes.

"Ahh!!" a woman cried as a black figure drew closer to her. The black figure ignored the women and covered over her body. When he moved away, the woman was nowhere to be seen...
