The Vanishings

Chapter One

"This is my wife, Ryver," Vegeta said. Rapyd gasped, then quickly covered her mouth.

       "What?" Vegeta asked.

       "Oh nothing," Rapyd replied quickly. Ryver had a dragon tail that was swishing out behind her.

       "Now anyway, Ryver, this is...um...,"Vegeta started.

       "Rapyd," Rapyd filled in.

       "And...Uh some guy that copies my hairstyle," said Vegeta.

       "His name is Vegeta too," Rapyd said.

       "Oh so you stole my name too?!" Vegeta said, up in the 13 year old Vegeta's face.

       "It's my name!" said the 13 year old Vegeta, shoving Vegeta back.

       "Um...you guys? This is gonna be a problem with two Vegeta's in the house," Ryver said.

       "Who said their staying?" Vegeta said, still glaring at the other one.

       "Why don't we call the 13 year old one Vegeta-chan and the other one Vegeta-sama?" Rapyd said.

       "Kay," Ryver agreed, nodding. Vegeta-chan and Vegeta-sama were still glaring at each other.

       "Guys, stop it!" Rapyd protested, moving between them.

       "I don't want him in my house!" Vegeta-sama growled.

       "And I don't want to live under the same roof as him!"  Vegeta-chan shot back.

       "Just stop!" Ryver yelled. "Vegeta-sama, they're staying here! And Vegeta-chan just...be nice!"

       "And since when do you let total strangers stay at our home?" Vegeta-sama argued.

       "Maybe I just want them to! Maybe I want some teenagers in the house!" Ryver said back.

       "Lin and Zegeta'll be teenagers soon enough!" Vegeta-sama countered.

       "Well they're staying and that's that!" Ryver said, walking out of the room. Vegeta-sama glared at Vegeta-chan and walked after his wife.

       "Well that went well," Rapyd said dryly, walking around the room.

       "Hrmp," Vegeta replied, crossing his arms.

       "What happened to the Vegeta I knew before?" Rapyd questioned. Vegeta turned away.

       "Nothing happened to him. He's right here," was Vegeta's response.

       ''Yea, but...you've changed," Rapyd said, moving close to Vegeta.

       "I haven't changed at all!" Vegeta said angrily, shoving Rapyd away.

       "What's your problem? Before you were nice and loving, but now, you're just mean!" Rapyd said, running out of the room, tears streaming down her face. "Ha," Vegeta mumbled. A tear rolled down his cheek.
