Rapyd and her mother settled in a city far away from the
palace. Rapyd continued her Dimension Key training until she was 13 and a half.
By then she was finished and fully trained in the Dimension Key. Rapyd always
thought about Vegeta, but she knew she could never go back to him. So she
continued to train to become stronger.
"835, 836, 837," Rapyd stopped. "This is no fun without
Vegeta!" said Rapyd. She sat up and sighed.
"How can I get him back?" Rapyd wondered. Suddenly there was a
bright flash of light, and Rapyd disappeared from her world.
"W-where am I?" Rapyd said, looking around. Everything was a
pale golden and there was nothing in sight. Suddenly a figure matirealized in
front of her.
"Who are you?" Rapyd demanded.
"I am the one who created the Dimension Key," the figure said.
Rapyd gasped.
"Where am I and why did you bring me here?" asked Rapyd.
"You are in the world between dimensions; my home. I brought you
here because you want Vegeta back, do you not?" said the figure. Rapyd
nodded.
"Good. You and Vegeta were meant to be. But I've come across a
slight problem the past few days. Vegeta is also meant to be with another
woman. A part Dragon, part Saiyan woman who goes by the name Ryver. If you were
to stay in your dimension it would cause a rupture in the flow of time and,
utimently, disrupt every dimension that exists. Because everyone has someone
out there for them, but Vegeta has two. So there is only one solution,"
the figure said.
"And that is?" asked Rapyd.
"I can make a copy of the Vegeta that exists now,
and erase the memories of the one now. So then you would have two Vegetas, one
that had all the memories of the one now, and one that did not," the
figure said.
"What's the catch?" said Rapyd.
"It takes 13 years to make the copy," said the
figure.
"So when are you going to get started?" asked
Rapyd.
"Well for this to work properly, I need to have you
reborn in a dimension and have you come
back here in 13 years."
"But what about everyone in the Dimension I'm living
in now?" asked Rapyd. The figure sighed.
"I'll have to erase all of their memories of you. It
would be like you never existed."
"Thats harsh, but if thats what I have to do to get
Vegeta back then I'll do it," Rapyd said bravely.
"Okay, good then. I'll have you be reborn in the
core dimension. Farewell Rapyd... for 13 years..." There was a bright
flash of light, and Rapyd disappeared again.
She was a baby. A baby with a mind.
"What am I doing here?" she thought as she looked up into the
faces of smiling people.
"Nooo! I'm not supposed to be here!" she tried to say, but all
that came out was a gurgle. She squirmed around in the person's arms.
"Shh. Calm down," a comforting voice reassured.
"What should we name her?" another voice said.
"How about Swyft?" the comforting voice said. Rapyd wiggled
around as if to say 'No! That's not my name!'
"Swyft? Thats a good name," the other voice said.
"Hello Swyft!" said the comforting voice, holding her up in
the air.
"Swyft, hmm? I guess I could
live with that name for 13 years," Rapyd, or should I say Swyft,
thought. Swyft cuddled against her new mother and fell asleep.
