After about three months, the entire
population of Ojhana was wiped out. Rapyd and Vegeta were both nine, and they
were getting ready for the long journey back home.
"Well
guess it's time to head on home," Vegeta said. Rapyd sighed. Their pods
were below them and they were standing on the ledge above them.
"Yea
you're right," Rapyd said, laying on the ground.
"Better
stretch out before the long flight home, though," said Rapyd.
"Good
idea," Vegeta said, laying down next to her.
"Wasn't
this fun? We got to destroy a whole planet by ourselves!" Rapyd said.
"Yea..."
Vegeta said, trailing off.
"You
know what, Vegeta?" Rapyd asked.
"Hmm?"
was Vegeta's response.
"You're
my best friend," Rapyd said. Vegeta was stunned. “Rapyd is my...friend.
I've never had a real friend before,” Vegeta thought. They lay like that for five minutes until
Vegeta finally said, "Okay we should go now." He stood up.
"
'kay," Rapyd said, standing up.
They flew down to their space pods.
"See
ya in 3 1/2 months!" Rapyd called out to Vegeta, climbing into her pod.
"You
too," Vegeta replied, doing the same. The pods took off, and they were on
their way back home.
Bleep! Bleep! Bleep! Vegeta woke up just as the two
pods entered Vejita's atmosphere. There was turbulence for about three minutes
and then the pods landed back at the palace.
The pod doors opened and Vegeta and Rapyd stepped out.
An officer ran out and bowed in front of them.
"I
trust the mission was a success?" The officer inquired.
"Of
course," Vegeta said with a smirk.
"The
planet Ojhana is ready to sell," Rapyd said.
"Good
good. Thank you. You may return to your families now," the officer said,
bowing again. Vegeta and Rapyd ran into the palace. I get to see mom
again! Rapyd thought excitedly. But
what if she's still not back yet? She and Vegeta ran all the way until they
reached Rapyd's home.
"See
ya later, Vegeta," Rapyd said.
"Yea,
see ya tomorrow," Vegeta replied, then ran off. Rapyd placed her hand on
the handprint identification system by the door and the door whooshed open.
"Rapyd!
You're back!" her mother greeted.
"Mommy!"
Rapyd said, running into her mother's arms.
"Oh,
Rapyd, where have you been?" Seikai said, hugging her daughter.
"Me
and Vegeta took over a planet!" Rapyd said happily.
"Good for you!" Seikai said, proud of her daughter. They smiled and everything was as it should.
