My e-mail is lexmorgan007@yahoo.com Thanks again Lex They both arrived at Lukes after a few minutes of skating, and realized that they had no shoes, so rory decided just to skate into Lukes. Tristan reluctantly fallowed her. When the reached the counter, Luke turned around: “Who’s he?” he asked rory, like Tristan wasn’t even standing there\ “oh, Luke this is my friend Tristan.” Rory told him “the evil Tristan, as in making your life a living hell and calling you biblical names Tristan?” he asked obviously mad “yea, but he’s different now, were friends.” Rory smiled at Tristan “alright, but I'm keeping an eye on you bible boy... oh, and rory, glad to see that bag boy is history, never liked him anyway.” Rory and Tristan made their way to a table and sat down. Rory was still hoping that Tristan hadn’t heard the last comment. She figured she’d have to tell him sooner or later anyway. “um.. Tristan, i forgot to tell you, dean and i broke up” she said not making eye contact with him. “i know.” he told her “what do you mean, you know?” “I ran into him after I took you home on the last day of school.” “so you’ve known this entire time, and you didn’t say anything.” she said getting mad “i figured that you needed some time... and why are you getting mad at me?” “so what is it, you never wanted to be actual friends with me, you just figured that since dean wasn’t in the picture anymore, you could just move in and finish that little game of yours. Well you won Tristan, I fell for you, you made me feel stupid. “rory, your the one that called me, it wasn’t anything like that.” he said trying to calm her down “I can’t believe I let myself fall for a jerk like you! I never want to see you again” she said getting up from the table and storming out. Tristan watched her from the window, still shocked. She took off her skates and just ran. She ran and ran until she found herself in a little spot in the woods. She didn’t know why she had yelled at Tristan , or why she was mad that he hadn’t told her. She regretted everything that had happened in the last 10 minutes, everything was just so confusing, and she didn’t know how to deal other than to push people away from her. ‘you did it now rory, he’ll never speak to you again, god, your such an idiot, why can’t you just let people care for you?’ Tristan had finally gotten up, and he took off his skates and walked back to rory’s house to get his car. He hoped that she was there, so that maybe she could talk to her and explain why he hadn’t told her. He felt horrible, he felt like his heart had been ripped out and stomped on. The only girl he ever loved, finally had feelings for him, but now she never wanted to see him again. He got to rory’s house and knocked on the door, nobody answered. He just got in his car and drove off. A week later, they still hadn’t talked. She hadn’t gotten up the nerve to call him and apologize yet, much to the criticism of Lorelai. Her mother told her that if she waited to long, she could loose him. Rory finally got up enough courage to call his house. “hello” a womens voice said on the other end of the phone “hi, is Tristan there?” rory asked “I’m sorry, Tristan's not here” “well, do you know where he went?” “He left to spend the summer with his great uncle in France. He won’t be back until school starts.” “oh, well thanks.” “you could leave message on his machine, he’ll probably check it once in a while, here I'll put you through” “um...no..it’s alright” but there was no answer and then she heard another beep. She was going to hang up, but she finally decided that she needed to get this off her chest. “um...hi Tristan, this is rory. I know your gone, and maybe that will make this easier, but I really needed to tell you I’m sorry for what I said to you, I’m sorry that I didn’t believe in you, and I,...I miss you. I f you don’t want to talk to me, i understand... but i really am sorry. I guess I’ll see you when school starts... i ...” then the machine cut her off. She was disappointed, her mother was right, she had waited to long, and now she had lost him. She just sat down on her bed and cried. TWO DAYS EARLIER Tristan was still thinking about what Rory had said to him, and he had thought about picking up the phone hundreds of times, but thought that it was best to leave it alone, he didn’t need to be hurt more than he already had, and he didn’t want her to be hurt. She he decided to take his father up on an offer he had given him to go spend the summer with his great uncle in France. He figured it would give him time alone, to think about his feelings, and maybe he would even be able to forget about rory. Feedback is greatly appreciated!
