True Feelins 5/?

2 weeks had passed and Rory hadn’t seen Tristan, but
he was always on her mind. She decided that she was
going to call him and see if he wanted to get together
sometime, she thought that seeing him again would
maybe answer the question ‘do i have feelings for
Tristan DuGrey?’

Meanwhile Tristan had decided that Rory needed some
time to figure things out for herself before he
contacted her. He was still thinking about what dean
had told him and how much he respected dean for giving
up rory to make her happy.  While Tristan was sitting
on his bed and writing in his journal about dean and
rory , the phone rang:

“hello?” Tristan said answering the phone
“hi is Tristan there?” rory asked
“hey rory.” Tristan knew her voice anywhere, he just
couldn’t believe that she was actually calling him and
not the other way around.
“um...so i was wondering if maybe you wanted to hang
out sometime soon?” Rory asked rather shyly, she
hadn’t talked to him in a while and was still unsure
about everything that was happening.
“wow, um, yea, i would love to. when?” he asked her
“well I'm free tomorrow, if you are.”
“yea, sounds good. so... what do you want to do?” he
asked her
“um.... maybe we could go rollarblading?” thinking
that it was a fun and casual thing to do
“that sounds good, i haven’t done that in a while,.”
he told her
hey, why don’t you come over here, we have this great
park that would be perfect. maybe around 11:00?” 
“yea, perfect” he responded
“well I'll see you tomorrow Tristan.”
“yea, bye rory”
They both hung up the phone and smiled

TOMORROW MORNING- 11:00

Ding Dong
“wow, a man on time, I like that” Lorelai said as she
pulled open the door
“well can’t keep a beautiful lady waiting, now can I?”
Tristan replied with a smile
“good answer” Lorelai said “so, your going
rollarblading, sounds like fun.”
“you could join us if you want” Tristan graciously
offered
“nah, i got other things to do, but have fun.” 

Just then Rory walked out of her room, she was wearing
khaki shorts and a lavender tank top. Tristan looked
at her and thought to himself that she looked
beautiful.

“you ready?” she said, grabbing her skates
“yea, my skates are in the car.”

They sat on the porch and fastened their skates.

Rory hopped up and asked if he was ready. They started
down the street and Tristan was a little shaky. 

rory let out a small laugh

“what?” he said
“ i find it pretty funny that the almighty Tristan
DuGrey can’t skate.” she laughed
“hey, i haven’t done it in a while, give me a few
minutes.”

They were both doing fairly well when they got to the
park
“Hey, do you want to sit down for a second” she said
pointing to a bench nearby.
“um...sure” he said hesitantly
“what?” she asked
“um.. i  should probably tell you that i was never
very good at the whole stopping thing” 
Rory laughed as she skated over to the bench and sat
on it.
Tristan made his way to the bench, but couldn’t stop
in time, so he ended up holding onto a tree to help
him. Rory just laughed.
“are you laughing at me Mary?” Tristan asked playfully
“hey, you called me Mary!” rory said
“well, you laughed at me, that's what you get.” now
Tristan was laughing

“so...” rory said
“so..” Tristan repeated
“um... how’s your summer been?”
“well nothing really interesting, oh wait, i went to
Paris with my grandfather for the weekend, that was
fun.”
“jeez.. how can you forget going to Paris, you make it
seem like an everyday occurrence. oh, i went to the
mall, and did some grocery shopping.. oh and then
there was that weekend trip to Paris..”
“ok, i get it, i get it.”
“well how was it?”
“My grandpa had some business meetings, so i basically
just wandered the city by myself, I've done the whole
tourist thing, so i sat in some cafe’s and read.”
“wow, that sounds great, you know, someday my mom and
I are going to go backpacking across Europe”
“that would be cool, especially with your mom, she’s
great”
“yea i know” rory said smiling

“so should we skate?” Tristan asked
“good idea, since we have the skates on and all”

Tristan got up and held out his hand to help rory up,
but when she was getting up, he lost his balance, and
he fell to the ground, pulling her on top of him.

They both were laughing. “So i guess standing up
wouldn’t be one of your strong points either huh?” she
laughed
“your laughing at me again.” Tristan pouted

Then rory realized that she was laying on top of
Tristan. ‘oh god,’
it was in that moment that it finally clicked. Rory
Gilmore had feelings for Tristan DuGrey.

“Rory, rory....” Tristan was waving a hand in front of
her face
“oh, um... sorry, i um.. well.. um...you know maybe we
could go to lunch seeing that it’s lunch time, and
lots of people like eating lunch at this time, you
know once i didn’t eat lunch at lunchtime and i was
really hungry for dinner.” rory babbled on ‘oh god,
I'm babbling, i sound like an idiot, snap out of it
rory!’

“Well lunch sounds like a good idea, but for us to
actually do that, we would have to get up, which isn’t
a possibility at the moment, with you laying on me.”
Tristan replied to an obviously flustered rory
“oh, I'm... um.. sorry.”

With that they both got up and proceeded to skate
towards Lukes.
