Rory:  Tell me again why I am here?
Jess:  Listen to me!
Rory:  I really shouldn't be with you, Dean's already mad at me as it is.
Jess:  Well if he's already mad then he can't get worse.
Rory:  I guess your right, just can you hurry up please.
Jess:  Yeah, yeah, yeah.  You have to remember though that this was supposed to be something nice, not nothing, I wanted you to like this.
Rory:  I'll try my hardest to be nice.
Jess:  We're here, you can take your blind fold off now.
 
Dean:  Have you seen your daughter?
Lorelai:  No, all she told me was that she had to go some where with a friend.
Dean:  Is that friend Jess?
Lorelai:  Dean, sweetie, take deep breaths.  I'm sure that if she is with Jess, than there is a good explaination.
Dean:  It's just that he bugs me.  I try to be nice, but bare with me, he's stealing my girlfriend.
Lorelia:  Rory can't be stolen, she will leave by choice, and you have nothing to worry about, she loves you alot and doesn't want to hurt you in any way.  Trust me I know.
Dean:  It's just......
Lorelia:  No buts.  Go home, and do something to keep you busy, and when she comes home I'll get her to call you.
Dean: Alright.  Bye.
Lorelia:  Bye Dean.
 
Luke:  What was that about?
Lorelia:  The same old new stuff.
Luke:  Huh?
Lorelia:  Jess.
Luke:  Oh.  You know it's not my fault what he does.  Well actually some of it is to blame, but Jess won't be blamed for any problems between your daughter and Dean.
Lorelia:  Luke, get a grip.  I didn't say anything bad just that Dean is a little jealous.
Luke:  Sorry.  More coffee?
Lorelia:  Sounds good.
 
Lane:  Dean wait up!
Dean:  Hey Lane!
Lane:  Have you seen Rory, she was supposed to help me with my chemisty homework she promised.
Dean:  Really, cause she promised me that we would do something all day today, but she is no where to be found.
Lane:  Ok, well mamas calling me.  I got to go.  Talk to you later.

Rory:  Jess, you didn't have to do this.
Jess:  Well you told me that you wanted that book collection, so I got you started.
Rory:  Yeah but there's how many books here? 1...2...3...4...5...6...7...
Jess:  20.
Rory:  How can you afford this.
Jess:  Rory, for you I would do anything, I can afford anything.  I want you, Dean isn't right for you, I am.
Rory:  Pardon. Sorry I didn't hear what you said.
Jess:  Oh, nothing then.
Rory:  Ok.  As much as I love this fabulous gift, I have to get back.  I have tons of homework...
Jess:  I'll help you.
Rory:  That's okay, plus I have to help Lane with chemistry, and I promised Dean we would do something cause I haven't seen him lately.
Jess:  Can't they wait?!  I just gave you a great gift, and you're running off.
Rory:  Sorry, I really got to go!!  Stay there and I'll get my mom to swing by and pick up the books, oh yeah, thanks again, they really are a great gift.
Jess:  Just what I need, the girl of my dreams to run away.
 
Lorelia:  Where have you been?  Your a very popular person in this town.
Rory:  What!?
Lorelia:  Everyone's been looking for you.
Rory:  Oh, well I need you to do me a favour.
Lorelia:  Sure what is it...wait!! If I have to clean the fridge out again then forget it missy, I did it last year, you can do it this time.
Rory:  No that's not it.
Lorelia:  O, ok then what do you need me to do?
Rory:  I was with Jess, and he gave me a present, but it was too big to carry while running so can you swing by Apple Bench Park and pick it up?
Lorelia:  How will I know where to pick it up?
Rory:  Jess will be there, I told him to stay there.
Lorelia:  What did he get you?
Rory:  Books, a collection.
Lorelia:  How many?
Rory:  20.
Lorelia:  Holy!  Is there cheese in it for me.
Rory:  Yes!  A big plate full.
Lorelia:  Good, becasue this mom doesn't go to work for free.  
Rory:  Bye.
Lorelia:  One other thing before you leave.
Rory:  Yeah?
Lorelia:  Call Dean.  He misses you.
Rory:  Right, I'm on it.
 
Luke:  She didn't get her coffee.
Lorelia:  Didn't ask for it.
Luke:  Oh my gosh, what did you do to the child?
Lorelia:  I drugged her and made her eat peanut butter sandwiches until she was sick of them.
Luke:  Makes sense.
Lorelia:  Doesn't it?  Please get me another, but make it to go.
Luke:  Why?
Lorelia:  Got to go pick up 20 books, in Apple Beanch Park.
Luke:  I'm not even going to ask.  Here's your coffee, you can leave, your scaring my customers.
Lorelia:  Hey, I probably pay you half the money you earn.
Luke:  I wouldn't go that far, now go pick up your books.
Lorelia:  Don't laugh, Jess bought them for Rory.
Luke:  Oh?
Lorelia:  Bye.
 
Dean:  Rory!! Wait!!
Rory:  Hey Dean, I'm kind of in a hurry I have to go meet Lane.
Dean:  What about us?
Rory:  What about us?  There's nothing wrong.
Dean:  Please, you're spending more time with Jess, than you are with me,and if you haven't noticed, I'm your boyfriend.
Rory:  Please Dean, can we talk about this later, I promise I'll find time for you?
Dean:  You know what, don't worry.  If you can't find time in your BUSY schedule, to be with your boyfriend, than whatever!  I'll talk to you later!
Rory:  Dean wait!  I'm sorry!  We can talk now!
Dean:  Go visit Lane!
Rory:  Dean.....!!!!
 
Lane:  About time you showed up.
Rory:  Sorry.  
Lane:  Where were you?
Rory:  Jess, than Dean and I kind of had a fight, well I think we did any ways.
Lane:  Okay, let's get this started.
Rory:  Yeah.
Lane:  Wait!  I have to talk to you about Dean.
Rory:  What is it?
Lane:  There are many girls at school who are drooling over Dean, but he wants you, and only you.  The girls at our school are crazy, and will do anything.  I have to worn you, if your not careful, Dean's gonna leave you, for some prepy school girl.
Rory:  Why are you telling me this?
Lane:  Cause I care.
Rory:  You know what I don't feel like helping you right now, I got to get out of ths house.
 
Lorelia:  Jess.
Jess:  Lorelia.
Lorelia:  I'm here to get the books.
Jess:  They're right here.
Lorelia:  As I can see.
Jess:  I'll help.
Lorelia:  Just load them into the back.
Jess: Ok.
Lorelia:  Do you like my daughter.
Jess:  What! I don't have to answer that.
Lorelia:  I want an answer.
Jess:  No!
Lorelia:  Listen to me.  You're breaking up my daughters relationshoip with Dean.  I at least want to know that you are doing it because you like her, not just  because you like to.  That would be cruel.
Jess:  I like your daughter, and I think she likes me too.
Lorelia:  Listen to me.  I know her and she is madly in love withDean.  Since you came along, you have changed her attitude, her feelings towards Dean, and you have had a bad influence on her.  I want you to stay away.  Rory is a good, no great kid, and yournot going to change that!
Jess:  Thanks for the talk, Lorelia, but I'm old enough, and rory is old enough to make her own decisions.
Loreia:  I know that you two are old enough, and I let my daughter make her own decisions, but let me just say that this is a warning, unless Rory, shows slight interest in you, and trust me I will know, then lay off!
Jess:  Whatever.
Lorelia:  Nice talking to you Jess.
Jess:  Yeah, same here, same here.
 
Rory:  Jess!  I need to talk to you.
Jess:  I'm here for you.
Rory:  Ok.  LIsten, everyone is mad at me.  They don't understand that we're only friends. 
Jess:  Only friends?
Rory:  Dean's mad at me, Lane is mad too, and my mom was just a little shocked.
Jess:  Yeah, she came to get the books, and gave me a little pep talk.
Rory:  I feel like you're the only one who understands.
