Rory and Tristin don't kiss though...sry [A.N.]I'm taking a break from A Walk to Remember for a little to write this fanfic...I have some stuff for what will happen later on but not at where I am now and if I don't write that I'm afraid that it won't make any sense...so I'm in a predicament. I was going to send this fanfic yesterday but I got sick and well...I was so tired that I forgot...not cool to make excuses but oh well. Anyway here is what I have so far... Chapter One “I might give you a kiss goodbye but your boyfriend’s watching.” “Could you settle for a handshake?” Rory asked brightly extending her right hand out. Tristin grinned. “I guess I could.” Tristin shook Rory’s hand. The he pulled her hand up and let them brush his lips before releasing her hand. “Hey! I said handshake.” Rory tried to sound angry but she couldn’t help but smile. “And I said kiss.” Tristin smirked. “Besides you got your handshake and I got my kiss.” Tristin shrugged. “I better go before your boyfriend actually starts throwing daggers at me.” Rory looked over at Dean who was scowling at Tristin. “You know, even thought you hate me and I made your life miserable. I could say we were friends, an odd version yes but in a way we’re friends.” “Even evil as you are, I’d have to agree and odd versions of friends. So, I’d have to say we’re friends who are most often at each other’s throats.” “Exactly.” “You know what? I think you’ve been at my throat for quite awhile so what are we going to do about that?” “You can make it up to me when I come back.” “Deal.” “Tristin!” A sharp voice rang through the hall again. “Now I really have to go. Besides, the daggers have been retrieved and are in his hand.” Tristin began walking backwards down the hall. “Take care of yourself…Mary.” Rory giggled. “Bye.” And with that Tristin turned the corner and was gone. Paris came storming down the hall in the other direction dressed as what can only be called Romeo. “Let’s go now.” With once glance down the hall Rory followed Paris on stage. After the play “What were you and Tristin talking about?” “Well he told me his father withdrew him from Chilton and he told me why. We shook hands goodbye.” “But he kissed you.” “That wasn’t part of the plan, the plan was to shake hands but Tristin manages to sneak his way around.” “You let him.” “He’s leaving, besides we’re sort of friends now…well we’ve come to an understanding.” Rory explained. “You don’t like him or anything like that right?” “No, we’re barely friends.” Dean let out a sigh of relief. “Good.” He leaned down and gave Rory a kiss goodnight. “Night Rory.” “Good night Dean.” Rory said stepping inside and closing the door behind her. As soon as the door closed Lorelai pounced on Rory. “So who was the cute guy? The one that kissed your hand? The one you were flirting with? That wouldn’t happen be Tristin would it?” “Cute guy, no. Kissed my hand, yes. Flirting, no. Tristin, yes.” “Wrong! The answer is yes to all.” “You know that you’re not going to date him right?” Rory chucked while hanging up her coat. “Funny girl.” “Well, I try my best.” “So, why wasn’t he on stage?” “Tristin is going to North Carolina.” “Why?” “Military School.” “Ouch, what did he do?” “Broke into a safe.” “Stupid.” “Exactly what I said.” “So, are you friends, enemies or what?” “Friends that are most often at each other’s throats.” “You’re weird.” One Week Later “Oh Rory!” Lorelai yelled in a singsong voice. “Come here I have something I want to show you!” “If it’s your scab shaped like Elvis’s head then I don’t want to see it.” “Nope, it’s better than that!” Rory came out of her room. “What is it?” “You’ve got mail.” “Really from who?” “Well, I’m not sure if it’s for you. It says Ms. Lorelai “Rory” Leigh “Mary” Gilmore and it’s from-” Rory snatched the letter from Lorelai. “Does it?” Rory looked at the letter and sure enough it said Ms. Lorelai “Rory” Leigh “Mary” Gilmore. Rory tore open the letter. Dear Ms. Lorelai "Rory" Leigh "Mary" Gilmore, We are pleased to inform you that your lifetime supply of coffe will be dilivered at once. However, we are afraid that you and your mother will consume all of this supply in one day. Non-the less, we are sending you the supply of coffee. Sincerely, The Coffee Committe Rory giggled at what Tristin had writtien. She wondered how Tristin knew her mother was a coffee addict, too. She then remembered she told him about the time she and her mother decided to see how long they could last without coffee that weekend and how Lorelai gave up in two minutes. Lorelai watched with interest as Rory giggled. Okay. Hey there Rory. How’s Chilton treating you? Hahaha! Military school isn’t too bad. It’s got it’s ups and downs. How are you doing?
