From: nsync606@juno.com DC: 1/? don't own it, wb does, blah blah blah Rating: PG so far PG 13 later Summery: Rory, Tristan and 24 other Chilton students go on a trip to Washington D.C., but on the way, the unthinkable happens Feedback: please! "Honey, you're gonna love this trip," Loralei told her daughter. "I'll enjoy it as much as a person can enjoy a Chilton event," Rory repleid. "Oh, come on, this is Washington D.C. we're talking about, be open minded," Loralei said. "We both need coffee," Rory said. "Hey, Rory, don't just change the sub- yeah, i think we need some coffee," Loralei said smiling. *At the Diner* "Lukey," Loralei said in a sweet voice. "Loralei...eee" Luke replied mocking Loralei's attemt to be sweet. rory rolled her eyes, could they be any more ovibous? rory just hoped they'd both realize it before her mom made a big mistake. Mr. Mediana and Loralei were engaged and getting married in three months, as much as Rory like Max, it just wasn't right. "Rory," Dean's voice interupted her thoughts. Rory smiled, she loved the sound of his voice, the two of them were so close. She turned around. "Rory, we need to tlak, over here," Dean took her wrist and led her to their usual table. rory could telll what Dean had to say was not good, it was all in his eyes. "Rory, my mom says we have to move back to Chicago," Dean said saddly. "What? When, why," Rory asked not believing that she was hearing this. "My mom, the reason we moved here was because her job gottransferred here, that isn't working well for their buissness, so they are moving back to Chicago. We don't really have another choice, we're leaving next week," Dean told her. "Dean, we should just say goodbye now, you know and not see each other for the week, it'll be easier that way," Rory said. It was a mean thing to say, but Rory didn't regret it. Without thinking, Rory walked out and started on her way home. "So, Luke, can i have my coffee's now," Loralei begged. "Um, where'd Rory go," Luke asked. "Oh she's right over there," she said pointing to where Rory had been sitting. All they saw was Dean with his head in his hands. "Luke, looks like i gotta go, save our coffee for later," She gave him a smile and walked out giving him a flirty wave. Luke smiled *God i love her* he thought. It just wasn't the right time, but when was? By the time Loralei got home, Rory had already cried herself to sleep. The next morning Rory woke up not even thinking of Dean, ok, not true, she had stuck him in the back of her mind and though she wouldn't think about itnow , it would be there and she would have to tink about it later. Rory took a quick shower, got dressed, she wore a pair of blue jeans, flaired at the bottom, and a blue sweater. It was a cold fall morning. The Chilton students didn't have to wear their unifoe\rms on this trip. Rory brushed her hair, applied some clear lipgloss, and left for the bus. *no time for coffee today* she thought saddly. She had to catch the early bus, they were leaving at 7:oo. When Rory arrived at Chilton, she joined the other 25 students who were waitnig in the parkinglot. She sgtarted looking for people she knew, but she couldn't find anyone. She heard a voice behind her, "Hey Mary," Tristan said. Rory groaned. "What, not happy to see me," Tristan asked. "I think the groaning thing should answer your question," Rory replied. "Sounded like a hppy groan to me," Tristan said. They were interupted when a first class buss pulled up beside the students. TBC
