Rev John Gillespie, tutor at Lunden, Fifeshire, ordained minister of Kells, 29th March 1764 (?ordination) died 29 April 1806 in his 76th year. & 43rd year of his ministry.

His son
Rev. William Gillespie, licensed 1798, and assistant and successor to his father in 1800. He died 15 October 1825 in his 50th year & 26th year of his ministry.

Dr. Thomas Gillespie b at Closeburn in Feb 1778. Educated at Wallacehall. In 1802 he entered the University of Edinburgh. In 1813 he was appointed to the church. Married the daughter of Dr. John Honlee (sp?). He became his assistant and full Presbyter.  Thomas died at Dunine (sp?) 11 Sept 1844 age 67. Poet.

Tombstone Robert Gillespie Smyth of Gibliston, major in the County Militia and a Deputy Lieutenant, son of Dr. James Gillespie, Principal of St. Mary's College, St. Andrews. b. in that oby 4th of Feb 1777. He assumed the name Smyth on his marriage with the heiress of Gilbeston. He died there on 11 Nov
1855.
