GILLESPIE, GARNET - Peacefully on Wednesday, September 5, 2001 at North York General Hospital at the age of 84 years. Beloved husband and best friend for 65 years to Ruby Rhyme.  Loving father of Donna (Jim Browning), Yvonne (Al Fisher), Penny (the late John Stewart), and the late Garnet Gillespie. Cherished grandfather of Rob Browning (Paulette), Wendy (Tom Gordon), Barb Knickle, the late Darlene Fisher (Patty), John, David, Trevor, Stewart, Tommy (Ben Fiesen). Special great grandfather of Danielle and Stephanie Browning, Jamie, Christopher and Devon Knickle, Sarah Gordon, Tyler and Emma Mackay, Jake, Grant and Todd Fisher, Brandon Stewart, Luke and Cassandra Friesen. Loving brother to Helen Burgess and predeceased by Dorothy, Gwen, and Elmo. Sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews and close friends. Friends may call at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Younge St at  Goulding, south of Steeles, on Saturday, September 8, from 2 o'clock until service time of 3 o'clock in the chapel. Cremation to follow. GILLESPIE, MARGARET - Peacefully at Centenary Health Care Centre, Scarborough, on Saturday, August 25, 2001 in her 74th year. Margaret, loving wife of the late DONALD JAMES GILLESPIE. Loving mother of Bill and his wife Rosemarie, and Robert and his wife Christina.  Treasured grandmother of Richard, Jordan, Mark and Matthew, and Ryan and Zoe.  Survived by her sister Doris in Bristol, England.  Friends may visit at the Jerrett Funeral Home, 6191 Yonge St, North York (2 lights south of Steeles Ave) on Monday from 2-5 and 7- 9pm. Funeral service in the chapel on Tuesday at 1 pm. Internment York Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Brain Tumour  Foundation of Canada, 650 Waterloo St. Suite 100, London, Ontario N6B 2R4

GILLESPIE, GRACE (nee Taylor) - Died after a brief illness in Sunnybrook Medical Centre on September 10, 2001 in her 81st year. She is survived by her husband EARL GILLESPIE of Toronto, son David (Karen) of Edmonton and Robert (Lorna) of Toronto.  the grandchildren are Laura, Emma, Max, Andrea and Robert of Edmonton and Amy and Emily of Toronto. A memorial service will be held in Leaside United Church on September 13 at 1 o'clock. Reception to follow at Leaside Gate. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.

GILLESPIE, WILLIAM WALLACE "Bud" - Retired Gillies Bros. Lumber Co. Suddenly but peacefully in hospital at Renfrew on Monday afternoon, Jan 1, 2001. William Wallace of Renfrew, formerly of Braeside at the age of 78 years. Predeceased by his mother, Mary Ellen Gillespie in 1984. Beloved husband of Marilyn (nee Swan) and of the late Eileen (nee Hodgson).  Dearly loved father of  David Gillespie (Frances) of Bridgenorth, John Gillespie (Beth) of Bridgenorth, Patrick (Patricia) of Arnprior, and Dale (Dodie) Cavanagh (Scott), also of Bridgenorth. Cherished grandpa of Christopher (Patricia), Stephanie, Sean, Eric, Kate, Lisa, Michael, Brian, Amanda, Robert and Tressa. Friends may call at the Pilon Family Funeral Home & Chapel, 50 John St N, Arnprior on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. John Chrysostom Church, Arnprior on Thursday. Internment to follow at Malloch Road Cemetery. In rembrance, donations to the Ottawa Civic Hospital Heart Institute or the charity of one's choice would be appreciated by the family.

GILLESPIE, GERALD A. of R.R.#1 Highgate and formerly of London, passed away at Four Counties Health Centre, Newbury, on Friday, March 30, 2001 in his 64th year. Son of the late Hugh and Isabell (Campbell) Gillespie. Survived by three children: Debbie &  Brian Chandler of Chatham, Currie & CaAthy Gillespie of Winnipeg, and Blair Gillespie of London.  Also survived by two brothers, Peter & his wife Pat of London, Neil & his wife Marjorie of Thamesville.  Fondly remembered by his cousins Margaret & Jack Eberle of R.R. #1 Highgate with whom Gerald made his home for the past three years.  At  Gerald's request, there will not be a service, and his body has been donated to medical research.  Arrangements by Arn Funeral Home, Glencoe.
