GILLESPIE. The burying ground of Robert Gillespie, Carricknaveagh. (Boardmills Second Presbyterian Graveyard).

GILLESPIE. Erected by Mathew Gillespie in memory of Elizabeth Ann Gillespie, his wife, who departed this life 8th May 1834, aged 46 years. "She lived beloved and died lamented." (Knock Graveyard, Townland of Knock, parish of Knockbreds, on the main Hillfoot Road.

LYONS: Erected by Robert Lyons of Dunover in memory of..(his family) Also J. W. M. Gillespie.infant daughter of James Gillespie, who died 9th August 1923, aged 2 years and 3 months (Grey Abbey Graveyard).

GILLESPIE: Erected by Sergt. S. Gillespie, in memory of his beloved wife, Margaret Gillespie, born 6th Dec 1796, died 12th Dec 1861. Here also lie the remains of the above named Sergt  S. Gillespie, born 4th March 1796. Died 12 July 187() [Kircubbin Presbyterian Graveyard]

GILLESPIE: (re-erected in modern cement enclosure of Mulligan family) "Reader, prepare to meet thy God." Here lieth the body of Jane Gillespie of Corbet who departed this life the 10th of September 1852, aged 62 years. Also her daughter, Agnes, who died in infancy. Thomas Gillespie, Corbett, departed this life March 9th, 1873, aged 88 years. "Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord." [Magherally Graveyard, Parish of Magherally, in townland of the same name]

GILLISPIE. Here lieth the body of Mary Gillispie who departed this life February 4th, 1836, aged 30 years. [Magherahamlet Graveyard, Co. Down]

GILLESPIE. Sacred to the memory of David Gillespie of Belfast who departed this life 19th September 1828, aged 60 years. Also his daughter Sarah, who departed this life 13th  September 1816 aged 24 years. And five of his children, who died young. [Shankill Cemetery, Belfast. See also the next two stones]

GILLESPIE. In affectionate remembrance of the beloved wife of Thomas Gillespie, Belfast, who departed this life 3 February 1866, aged 46 years. Also the above named Thomas Gillespie, who died 24th February 1874 [Shankill Cemetery, Belfast. See also next tombstone]

GILLESPIE. Erected by Staff Sergent William Gillespie in memory of his beloved wife, Margaret, who died 25th May 186() [Shankill Cemetery, Belfast]

GILLISPIE. (medium white headstone and iron surround). Erected by Annie Gillispie in memory of her dearly beloved husband, Hugh Gilllispie, R.I.C. who died 13th September 1899 aged 34 years. RIP {Hugh Gillispie lived at 25 Conduit Street, off  Donegal Pass) [Milltown Cemetery, Belfast]

DUNLAP. Erected by Robert Dunlap in memory of...(his family) and his son-in-law, Adam Gilespie who departed this life June 18th 1847 aged 32 years [The New Burying Ground, Belfast]

Newry, Co. Down  [Slate stone in a stone and rail enclosure] Sacred to the memory of Lieutenant Thomas Hewitt, Royal Navy, who departed this life 24th September, 1858, aged 62 years. Also his beloved child, Fanny, who died 31st October 1854 aged 18 months. Also his grandson GEORGE ERNEST GILLESPIE, who died 29th August 186 aged 19 months. And to the memory of his beloved wife, Jane Hewitt, who died at Tauranga, New Zealand on the 18th day of August 1886. Also of their eldest son thomas Hewitt who died at sea on the voyage home from Burmah 17th Oct 1886. Also of their daughter Harriett Gillespie, beloved wife of WILLIAM GILLESPIE, who died 27th February 1921 aged 77 years. Here are also interred the mortal remains of WILLIAM GILLESPIE who died at Warrenpoint on the 7th April 1935 aged 95 years. And of his daughter ETHEL J. GILLESPIE, who died 23rd June 1970 aged 89 years.Together with the Lord.
