CHILD HOOD & INITIAL EDUCATION :

Shaheed Quaid Agha Syed Zia Ud din Rizvi was born on 1958, at Mohallah Amphari Gilgit in a well known educated and religious family. The father of Shaheed Quaid Syed Fazil Shah was a famous Islamic Scholar. Quaid got his initial education in the same noble and angelic environment. From boyhood, Shaheed was used to go with his father for different religious activities and gatherings. Shaheed simultaneously continued his formal education along with Islamic education.

In 1974, Shaheed passed the exams of metric from High School No. 1 Gilgit with distinction. He obtained overall first position in the school.

QUAID AT JAMATUL MUNTAZIR LAHORE:

 Shaheed went to Jamatul Muntazir Lahore after metric; where he made an impact on teachers through his brilliance, good behavior, excellent conduct, personal attitude and conviction towards ALLAH. At Jamatul Muntazir the presence of teachers like Allama Syed Safder Hussain Najfi, Allama Syed Hafiz Riaz Hussain Naqvi, Allama Ghulam Hussain Najfi, Allama Sheikh Mohammad Shafa Najfi and Sheikh Moosa Baig Najfi helped Quaid in obtaining quality Islamic education.

 Due to his hard work and desire for Islamic education, Shaheed got a status of extraordinary learner. The evidence of this is the event in which Allama Syed Safder Hussain Najfi at later times of his life said in a hospital of Tehran that he is contented and satisfied before ALLAH as he had a student like Zia Ud din. At times of study at Lahore, Shaheed Quaid continues his formal education and passed the exams of FA and later BA with very high marks.

HIS WAY TO QUM IRAN:

 In 1979, after completion of courses at Jamatul Muntazir Lahore Shaheed Quaid went to holy city Qum of Iran. At that time the great revolution occurred in Iran under the supreme leadership of Hazrat Imam Khomeini. At Iran, Shaheed Quaid got education of Aal-O-Muhammad from respected teachers like Ayatollah Wajdani, Ayatollah Ahtemadi, Ayatollah Harm Panahe and specially Ayatollah al azmaa Fazal Linkaranie. Shaheed also caught sight of teachers at Iran, through his manners, conduct and obedience in following the orders of ALLAH, Muhammad and Ahl-e-Bait Athaar. On wish of Ayatollah Fazal Lankarani Shaheed joined the legal advisory office (Ishtiftaat) of Imam Khomeini as a researcher and a translator. It was the special status of Shaheed Quaid which enabled him to work at such esteemed and respected position. Shaheed successfully completed his duties through hard work and responsibility. As a result Hazrat Imam Khomeini issued a certificate of attorney ship to Shaheed Quaid, which is great honor and high regard.

QUAID AS A PRINCIPAL IN ENGLAND:

 After completion of religious studies, Shaheed went to Preston England, on insist of late Syed Safder Hussain Najfi and became principal of Madrasa Imam ul Muntazir. He taught lessons of Aal-e-Muhammad to seekers of knowledge and education. He also preached the religion of Islam to non Muslims. He lives in hearts of people that is the reason thousands of people protested in England on the martyrdom of Shaheed Quaid.

THE CAUSE OF AGHA'S RETURN:

  In the meantime, in May 1988 under the supervision of federal government and ministry of Kashmir Affairs, thousand of cruel and brutal invaders attacked the Shian Haider e Karar of Northern Areas in the name of so called Jihad. The battle between cruel attackers and innocent people continued for many days, which resulted in the death of hundreds of Momeneen and tens of villages were brutally destructed and also thousand of invaders reached Jahanum.

 By the divine blessings of ALLAH and the HUSSAINI passion, few unarmed Momeneen thrashed and defeated the cruel invaders who were well equipped with automatic weapons. After the battle, the condition of Millat-e-Jafaria in the region was miserable due to lack of effective leadership and anti Shia local administration. Shaheed Quaid was conscious of the situation so he returned back to Gilgit in 1989. Shaheed Quaid worked hard to organize the Millat. He gave wisdom and self belief to nation, his brave leadership gave new blood to youth. So at every sensitive moment, the Great Quaid led the nation from the front. He raised voice against oppression and injustice against the Millat. The nation always followed him. In short under the great leadership of Shaheed Quaid, Millat-e-Jafaria of Gilgit Baltistan became very organized.

Meanwhile the enemies of Islam and forces of Yazeed continued their conspiracies against Islam and Millat-e-Jafaria. But the presence of great leadership of Shaheed Quaid Agha Syed Zia Ud din Rizvi and passion of HUSSAINI believers failed enemy in each conspiracy. In mid 90’s enemies started the terrorism and target killings against the Shia community. But the unity and power of the community did not help them in their cause and they failed in each and every moment.

THE PLANE TO FINISH THE SHIA COMMUNITY:

When enemies of Islam realize that the terrorism in not working well for them, they planned to distort the young and innocent mind of Shia students. The curriculum was designed in a way that it had lot of controversies and it had matter that is against the beliefs of Shia Sect. Students were forced to read and reproduce the beliefs of one sect, which they think is against their beliefs. Shaheed Quaid was aware of enemies’ plans, so he started a moment for the  COORECTION of CURRICULUM . Shaheed raised the issue at every forum. Despite accepting the opinion of separate syllabus, the government had failed to address the issue in right direction. Government used the conventional delaying tactics which led to raise the concerns of Millat-e-Jafaria.

THE 3RD JUNE INCIDENT:

Eventually, the incident of 3rd June 2005 occurred when there was a plane to do a peace full protest against the disputed curriculum, and there was no any plane to do any thing against the laws, but as the the government was not sincere. Government tried to oppress the issue and thousands of people rose up at voice of their beloved Quaid. The government imposed Curfew with out any reason in Gilgit and then in the morning of 3rd June arrested Shaheed Quaid, along  with other leaders.

The government troops fired bullets on unarmed students and a student WAJID HUSSAIN martyred.  Thousand of people from adjoining areas of Nagar, Hunza, Jalalabad and Danyore gathered at Danyore to register their anger on arrest of their beloved Quaid and their concern on curriculum issue. When it was known to government that the soldiers of HUSSAINI force are with their Quaid, the government brought a partial formula, on which all parties agreed including government and all sects. The formula states that "no controversial matter could be taught to any student which he thinks that is against his beliefs". The government failed to implement the formula, as local administration was not sincere.

8TH JANUARY ANOTHER ASHOORA & THE KERBALA OF GILGIT:

January 8, is the day of pain and grief for Millat-e-Jafaria of Gilgit Baltistan. It is second Kerbala for Shia community and it is the heartbreaking day in the history of northern areas. It is the day when a soldier of Hazrat Imam Hussain force sacrifices his life to show the human beings that the Yazeed is alive and he gave a message that it is duty of Hussainis to rise up against the Yazeed of time and to sacrifice life and every thing. On January 8, 2005 at 12:10 pm the terrorist attacked  the vehicle of Quaid while he was on his way to the mosque. Two of his body guards named Hussain Akbar and Abbas Ali martyred at the moment and injuring Quaid and one other body guard Tanvir Ali. Brother Iqbal fought bravely and killed one terrorist and injured other.

The attack is not on one person, but the attack is on the whole Shia community. The attack is on soul of Islam, attack is on peace keeper of northern areas and the attack is on ideological boundaries of Pakistan. The bad news of attack spread in Gilgit like the fire in jungle, thousand of people went to District hospital Gilgit, every one was shocked that their Great Quaid is critically injured. Each and every Shia of Gilgit Baltistan and thousand of people across the world raise their hands before ALMIGHTY ALLAH for the life of Quaid. He was later shifted to C.M.H Rawalpindi, but his wish of SHAHADAT had been accepted by ALLAH. He was found many times praying before ALLAH for demanding the SHAHADAT. And it is said that while he was in Iran he had asked Imam Khomeini to pray for his SHAHADAT and on that time Imam Khomeini had told to Agha that your this  wish will be full filled in your own land. On January 13, 2005 at night , he set his journey to Darul Baqa.

INNA LILLAHI WA INNA ILAYHI RAJE’OON

Shaheed Quaid sacrificed his life for a noble cause of curriculum. The Millat is still in shock, it has lost its beloved Quaid. It is still in deep pain and sorrow, but the blessings of ALLAH are always with his man kind. Every one is ready to follow the path of their Great Leader and every one will fight against enemies of Islam till last moment of our life and we will always fight against the Yazeed of time.

It was fervor leadership of Shaheed Quaid Agha Syed Zia Ud din Rizvi, which opens new chapter in the history of Pakistan. Despite strict curfew and in presence of large number of troops, thousand of people from Gilgit gathered at Jamah Imamia Mosque Gilgit for funeral processions. More than 30 thousands of people were waiting at Danyore Chock to take part in processions. But the government was afraid of public power so they were not allowed to get a last sight of Shaheed Quaid, and the people returned with a lot of pains in their hearts with eyes full of tears, just because to not do any thing which could disturb the funeral processions of their beloved QUAID.

At  last, we swear by the holy blood of SHAHEED QUAID that we will not hesitate in offering our last drop of the blood for the holy mission of our beloved Quaid and will not take even a single step backward until and unless the mission of our Quaid is accomplished.
