| Well, I grew up on the mean streets of Bridgeport, only a block away from one of the worst drug infested, gang invaded, criminal laden slums you can find. The only thing between that and where I live was the school I attended. It wasn't untill a gang tried breaking down our door because we found thier shotgun, that we moved out of there, to a kind of suburb in Stratford, where I finished my schooling and found my affinity for music.During this time I leard to play the trumpet, the Baritone/Euphonium, the Tuba, and then one of my favorite instuments, the piano and also singing. This is also when I found a diverse amount of musical styles: from my mom listening to the radio and teaching me about Frankie Valie, the Temptations, Gladys Knight and the Pips, The Four Tops, etc to my friends introducing me hip-hop like Boys to Men, Beastie Boys, Run DMC, Will Smith, and so on. Later I found the style that would be with me to this day, when I heard "Bohemian Rhapsody" by Queen, I instantly was amazed by the raw passion of Brian May's ripping solos, to the beauty, passion, and even heart ache of Freddy Mercury's voice, I didn't care if he was gay or had AIDS, he was my hero, it was then I started checking out this awesomeness known as ROCK. Then my seventh grade music teacher taught me a song on the piano, which to this day I could still play, and it changed my focus on this Blues thing, with a song which played during the credits to "Good Fellows," called, "Layla," which later led to my new passion, the guitar, Eric Clapton, and Jimi Hedrix.
