The idea came into my mind seeing Americans struggling with diets and all sorts of so-called healthy and unhealthy foods. Albanian diet contains a lot of vegetables, salads, soups and more, all as tasty as it can get (when Albanians come to US they find American food pretty tasteless).
reason: Albanian food is Mediterranean food
Albania is across the sea from Italy. Greece is another neighbor south of Albania. Albania has been part of the Turkish Empire (Greece has been too). These are some of the reasons why Albanian food resembles Greek, Turkish and Italian food.
