On the north coast of Egypt is the charming city of Alexandria .It lies on the Mediterranean Sea, which is on the western edge of the Nile Delta .It's 20 Km long from east to west and only two Km wide. The main port is Ras Al-Tin, while the eastern Harbors used mostly by fishing and pleasure craft. This port handles about 80% of Egypt import and export trade .Today Alexandria is the largest port in Egypt. Alexandria's population is 3,380,000 and it is the second largest city in Egypt .
The city became famous for it's great library and for the Light house of Alexandria ,which is one of the seven wonders of the world .Every year the atmosphere and the beautiful cool weather draw thousands of holiday -makers to the water front cafe and beautiful beaches .
