Sweet Revenge

Brynn worked hard getting the details for the cocktail party. "Yes ma'am, fifty-five guests, Champaign, caviar, crab claws, shrimp cocktails, assorted petite finger sandwiches, mini egg plant rollettes… yes ma'am they come in the sauce. Mini quiches, shrimp crescents, sweet baked mussel's," Already her stomach was turning with nausea.
"And for dessert, ma'am? Raspberry and strawberry Mousse." Her eyes started to roll at the extravagance as she typed the menu up on her computer screen.
"Are you creating the display, or shall we?" Her fingers clicked at the keys.
"Cash or credit?" She asked politely.
"Okay, your order will be fulfilled and at your office building Thursday afternoon, ma'am."
Her voice tightened, "Yes, ma'am. At ten after twelve. Good day, ma'am."
Taking off her headset, Brynn stretched and rubbed her eyes. "God, I hate rich people." She muttered to the ceiling.
Her phone started ringing, grimacing she took her time in putting it on her head and clicking 'talk.' "Picture Perfect." She answered in false politeness. "Brandy!" She shrieked, "No, I can't take care of her!"
"Duh, maybe because I'm at work? Could that possibly be it?" She asked sarcastically. "She's your little sister too, ya know? Half-sister actually!"
A knock sounded at her door, and Brynn narrowed her eyes, "Where are you calling from my dear sweet younger sister?" She asked as she got up and walked towards her office door.
Opening it, she saw Brandy and her six-year-old half-sister Camryn standing there, a bright pink backpack strapped on, and a death grip on a raggedy brown dog. Brandy on her much loved cell phone.
Groaning, Brynn took off her headset, "You so do not want to know what I'm contemplating at this moment." She muttered as her hands planted on her hips.
Brandy smiled sheepishly, "Come on, just for a few hours." She whined. "I really need to get some things done."
Rolling her eyes once again, Brynn held her hand out to Camryn who was gripping tightly onto Brandy's. "Come on, Cammie," She coaxed gently, "We're going to go to TCBY."
Brandy's mouth dropped, "You never take me there anymore!" She complained as she pouted while Camryn smiled brightly and eagerly took her other half-sister's hand.
Grinning at the sibling rivalry between a twenty and six-year old, Brynn shrugged, "What can I say? I have a soft spot for cute kids."
Upon reaching the dessert shop, Brynn had been able to get Camryn to talk incessantly. Mainly about her mother and new father, and her new house.
She mentally rolled her eyes though and looked sympathetically at the young girl, My dad's been married six times kid, don't expect forever coming with this new arrangement. God knows I learned never to.
Sitting down with their orders, Brynn watched as Camryn ate from her M&M, Butterfinger, and frozen yogurt confection. Grimacing at all of the calories that could be in it. She then noticed her coloring in a dog-coloring book, and smiled slyly as she watched the once plan dog become purple and green.
A brilliant idea struck as she thought of the animal grooming across the street from 'Picture Perfect.' Unconsciously a giggle escaped her lips as she brought a spoonful of the low-fat vanilla frozen yogurt to her lips.
