My attempt at a zombie costume, Halloween 2004.  My favorite part is obviously the bugs, glued on with spirit gum.  Amy's make up job was amazing - she now wishes she had gone in to make up so she could be a successful Holly wood make-up designer now.  Oh well.
Amy went as a "Ressurected Druid Sacrifice Seeking Revenge Against the Priests Who Wronged Her".  How cliche.  She definitely has a talent for making people look undead.  She had a robe and goblet and everything - awesome.
This is my great grandmother, Anna O'Roarke, and my neice Mikayla Khoussainov.   Separated by 100 years, yet the genes seem to be in full effect.   Weird, I think.  My sister Sarah took this pick with her camera phone.
My brother Jay as Indiana Jones, Halloween 2004.  He is obsessive when it comes to making the right comstume, down to WWII era satchel and holster.  Looks awesome.  Quinn must have loved it!
Me, Naomi Schaeffer-Riley, Jason Riley, and Amy, in Vermont on June19th, 2004.  It was rainy, and Amy and I read an excerpt from Mark Twain that made everybody cry, including me.  It was my first "Blewish" wedding.
Me, Tim McCarthy and my brother Jay.  Tim looks totally badass, but he's not really.  Jay looks happy go lucky, but he's not really.  I look confused and drunk.  Ahhh, just right!
My nephew Quinn and my brother Jay.  Quinn's the cutest, and coolest, nephew around.
The Disco Kings!  That's me, "Guiseppe" as they referred to me, Paul Manias, and my brother Jason.  We dressed up like tools and went to the Biggest Disco in the World in January, 2002.  The ladies couldn't keep their hands off us, let me tell you.  (I think I look like Epstein, Horshach and Mr. Woodman all got eaten by Gabe  Kotter)  A good time was had by all.
From left, Todd Benzin, Amy, Sarah Nowak, John Kreuzer and me.  This was in Buffalo on April 12, 2001, at Desiderio's, a theatre bar after a show my friend, Don Gervasi, was in.
Mike Gold and Tony, Lord of Nightmares, and me as Dr. Avery Oddbody, PhD.
Some of my commercial work...
Verizon - April 2004
Thulsa Doom (Conan the Barbarian, 1982) Mufasa (The Lion King, 1994)
James Earl Jones
Darth Vader (Star Wars, Episodes III, IV, V, VI - 1977-2005)
When I got cast in my Verizon spot, I was so jazzed.  I right away said, "Maybe James Earl Jones will be in it!" like I'm 10 and I'm still high off of Empire Stikes Back.  And people looked at me funny, like there was no possible way he shoots his spots in NY.  Well, what do you know, there he was, and he was the nicest guy in the world.  We shook his hand in the beginning, then he sort of disappeared in makeup for a while, and a guy named Roger was his stand-in.  The folks on the shoot were cool and fun to hang out with, and I got a ride back to the city in a genuine London black cab, with the steering wheel on the right side and everything.
December 2003
May 2004
Thjs is my favorite spot so far, as I got to be funny and the reaction to my work was very positive.  I played a crazy Kansas State fan who painted his face with the wrong kind of paint, and it never came off.  I had to scream
Im May I shot a commercial for the Graham Norton Effect on Comedy Central.  It was fun, and Graham Norton was cool; his cell phone didn't work right, and I offered him mine, but he declined.  They use my favorite bit from the day, when I  cut his desk in half with a chain saw.  When it finally aired, they used two shots of me, one where a said something weird, and then one thing were I said "phone sex".  Fantastic.
like crazy, and it was fun.  The best part is a shot of me and my wife on our wedding day, me with a huge grin on my face and her looking like she wanted to bite down on an exposed circuit breaker.  ESPN's Kenny Mayne was in it, and he made me laugh when he pointed out to me that the oven next to us had an automatic meat probe.  It only aired once, but my hope is they'll turn it into a regular spot in the future.  Go Wildcats!
Living Room Live Pics - 2000 to 2002
What a shot!  Gilligan's Island never looked so good!
Me drinking a "house cola".  Seriously.
The love between Dan Rather and Dick Cheney is beautiful -  horrifically, sickeningly beautiful.
(Note the glowing "orb" atop my bald pate!  It wasn't there when this picture was taken!  I'm blessed by angels!)
A great bunch of friends to play with!!!!
Guin Ap Nud, Celtic Lord of the Dead
On June 19th, 2001, I let an audience member at Living Room Live cut my hair.  Below are some pics from that night!
You need Java to see this applet.
Me, Keith Michel and Yadira (Keith's co-worker), handing out flyers before the show!  An NYPD cop took it on his digital camera and e-mailed it to Darrell.
And that's what it looked like!  Buzzed on one side and long on the other.  You can't see the insane spit curl in front.  It was wild.
It takes a while to load, so be patient
(it's worth it.  And check out my old headshot!  Hot!!!)
