BUTTER PECAN BREAD
- 1 1/8 Cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 1/2 Cup brown sugar
- 1 Cup chopped pecans
- 1/2 Cup brown sugar
- 1 1/8 Cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 tsp baking powder
Layer the ingredients in the order given into a wide mouth 1-quart canning jar. Pack each layer in place before adding the next ingredient. Attach a gift tag with the mixing and baking directions.
COOKING DIRECTIONS:
- 1 jar Butter Pecan Bread Mix
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 1 Cup buttermilk
- 2 Tbsp butter or margarine, softened
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl, combine the Butter Pecan Bread mix with the egg, buttermilk and butter. Stir until the mixture is moistened. Spoon the batter into 1 large loaf pan. Bake for 1 hour. Cool slightly in the pan on a wire rack before removing.
