| There is no universally agreed-upon definition of magick. One popular definition is "the Science and Art of causing Change to occur in conformity with Will"- Aleister Crowley Some see it as a change in external reality, sometimes internal reality (perception or worldview or consciousness). Magick can also be defined as any of a variety of life-practices which devote the practitioner to self- and (thereby) environment- transformation. "My study of martial arts has helped me to see the connections between energy and intent. It has shown me that martial arts is full contact magick."- Kerr Cuhulain This can be true if the practioner is cultivating theire Chi/Ki to that level. Since Chi is such a broad umbrella of definitions and levels. Its only in its highest forms and cultivation would it be in the realm of magick. But like all magick it comes with risk and a price if cultivated wrongly. This is widely known as Qigong/Chi Kung or Tai Chi Disease. This improper cultivation can result in altered mental and emotional states such as Hallucinations and even boates of laughter. Chi Kung/Qigong masters are common place in many hospitals in China. The reason for that need is that QiGong Disease is very common and that only a master can correct a persons flow by using his chi to do so. Chi Kung/Tai Chi Disease- "You can instantly access energy (chi) for magickal purposes." - Kerr Cuhulain Though this is possible, if you are a user of magick already you must think of the possible hardships of trying to learn two different types of magick. Depending on your present state of magick mastery it may not be advisable to develop your energy in this fashion since it is already used to be channled in anthor way. The magicks may conflict and/or even put you in harms way. All this is subjective since magick comes in many different levels and froms while others say magick is all one others still say there are seperate spheres of magick. To be on the safe side however...it maybe in your best intrest to be sure. However this is left up to you. Good Luck... |
