Jewelcraft
Jewelcraft is the art of making jewelry.  Although jewelry can be worn because of it's beauty, most jewelry in Norrath is worn because of its stat adjustments.

Making jewelry is much like all the other trade skills.  You put a gem and a metal bar (enchanted or not) into your Jewelry Kit and hit combine.  As with all tradeskills if you fail you get nothing, if you succeed you get a new piece of jewelry.  The piece of jewelry you get is dependant upon what gem/metal bar combination you used.

As a jeweler you will be able to make both non-stat adjusting and stat adjusting (magic) jewelry.  To make "magic" jewelry one must first get their metal bars enchanted by an Enchanter.  As I'm sure you know, "magic" jewelry gets a better price than regular jewelry.  Therefore, if you are an Enchanter and you already have the enchant spells necessary, enchant all metal bars, even practice ones.  If you are not an Enchanter then it would probably just end up costing you more in the long run to pay someone to enchant your practice bars.
Introduction to Jewelcraft

The introduction to jewelcraft which I liked best is from
Tal Kor's Jewelry Academy.  To go directly to the introduction please click on the link below

Jewelry Recipies

I use three different recipie charts, depending on what I'm looking for.  The first is from
Tal Kor's, the second from EQ Traders, and the third is from Casters Realm.

I like
Tal Kor's recipie list because it includes pictures of what the jewelry will look like when completed.  It also includes the stat adjustment for if you use an enchanted bar.  However, it doesn't include the Velium or Imbued recipies.
It can be found at

http://www.eqportal.com/jewelry/Jewelry_by_Gemstone.html

I like
EQ Traders because they have both the Velium and Imbued recipies.  Their chart can be a little difficult to understand, but once you get used to it, it will make sense.

The general jewelry combinations (which includes Velium) can be found at

http://www.eqtraders.com/secrets/recipes_jewlcraft.htm

And the Imbued Jewelry combinations can be found at

http://www.eqtraders.com/secrets/recipes_jewlcraft_imbued.htm

And last, but certainly not least, is the
Casters Realm chart.  This is probably the best of the three lists.  It includes most the info from both of the other lists (except it doesn't have any pictures).  My only problem with this list is it doesn't print out very well.  But if you are using it straight off the net, then I would reccommend starting with this list and then going to the others if you can't find what you are looking for.

Trivials

The trivial list that I like best is at
Casters Realm.  This trivial list doesn't include velium or imbued, however I could not find a trivial list that did so I feel this one is the best.  You can go directly to Caster's trivial list by clicking below.

Jewelcraft Vendors

I use two different supplier lists.  The first is at
EQ Traders.  This list contains indepth information about where to get the gems, metal bars, Jewelers Kit, etc.  This list can be found at http://www.eqtraders.com/location/jewelry.htm

The second list is at
Casters Realm.  This list includes all the gems and metals, however it says nothing about Jewelers Kits or Books.  This list also includes list of where to get the gems which you can not buy.  This list can be found at http://eq.castersrealm.com/misc/jewellery/jewel_locs.asp

Jewelry by Attribute

What if you want a ring that gives a specific stat adjustment?  Well you could look through the recipe charts until you find all the ones that give you what you want or you could go back to
Tal Kor's and search for it.

Tal Kor's site has a nice little section which has Jewelry by Attribute.  You can go directly to this list by clicking

http://www.eqportal.com/jewelry/Jewelry_by_Attribute.html
Well that's what I have for jewelcraft.  Please be sure to check out all of the above sites for more information.  Each site has way more information than I have here and many have overlapping info.  This page, as with all my pages, just includes the sites and pages that I use the most.

As always please contact me at the email below if you know of another site with different or better information or if you need assistance in finding some information that I have not included.  Thanks :-)
