Baking, as I'm sure you know, is making food. Yummy!!!:-)

To begin baking you either need to stay near a town with an oven or buy yourself a spit. Spits are relatively cheap (I think I paid like 2 or 3 gold for mine) so I reccomend you buy one because you can transport it and then have an oven even if you're in a town that doesn't have one.

Many people recommend making edible goo to start with. Although that works, it's a huge waste of money (so I've heard, I never actually made them). You can get the same skill increases making Rat Meat and Wolf Meat sandwiches and it's cheaper. All you need to buy is bread and then hunt rats and wolfs for their meat to make the sandwhiches.

I got most of this information back in March before the addition of stat adjustments to home made foods. I will try to find a list with those stats a.s.a.p, but I wanted to get what I have up so at least you have that :-) I do know that rat meat sandwiches have no stat adjustments. This is the first one of the skills where I just couldn't get all the information on the same site. I think there are two or three sites altogether and there will be links to all of them. Most, if not all, of these sites have alot more information than just baking on them. Look around them they are some really good sites.

If you're going to bake you need recipies. The best baking table I found was in the EQ Compendium once again in the baking section.

The EQ Compendium is a great all around skills site. If you want to just use one site for your trade skills research (which I don't recommend) this site would be one of the better choices.

Although there are trivials listed with EQ Compendium's baking table, I prefer the trivial list on Casters Realm.

Mostly the trivs are the same on both lists. The only real difference is that Caster's trivial list is in order from lowest to highest and Compendium's trivials are listed with the foods in a table that is in alpha order by the food names.

The only list I found saying where to get the cook books and such was also on Caster's Realm. It's not the best list in the world but it'll do til I can either find a new one or compile one of my own :-)

Most baking ingredients are relatively easy to figure out where there come from. I mean come on, you don't need to be a rocket scientist to figure out that rat meat comes from rats. But for those of us who are still eluded by common sense Caster's Realm has a list of where you get different baking ingredients and even some supplies (muffin tins, pots, etc.). I couldn't find a site with this info, so I compiled all these stats myself!! HAHAHA I get to take all the credit!!!! LOL. No really Kanilyo compiled the Stat information and I just put it into a table version for the site :-)

I broke the table into three parts for faster loading and ease of my slow computer downloading it :-) They may not be perfectly aligned but you're all smart, you'll figure it out :-)
