| A gridiron pitch is 100 yards long and approx 50 yards wide. At each end is an 'end zone' 10 yards deep. The pitch is lined every 10 yards and there are individual 'hash' marks every yard (this has nothing to do with the after effects of late night parties). The posts are normally at the back of the endzone but this may vary depending on the ground. | |||||||||||
