| Giants 38 - 7 Broncos | ||||||||||||||||||
| The Giants are the GridironWest 2004 champions after a dominating grand final performance against the Broncos on 18th December. Right from the start the Giants looked in control. After a long drive resulted in an Aaron Allingham field goal, the Giants' Dave Dempsey recovered a fumble on the ensuing kick off and took it in for a score. Later in the quarter, offensive MVP Rohan Williams hit receiver Wade Tewano on a deep pattern for another touchdown. The second quarter saw another Giants score, this time from an Allingham run. The Broncos then got a score of their own after some power running up the middle. That made the half time score 21-7 to the Giants. The third quarter was totally controlled by the Giants with Tewano pulling in another grab for his second TD. Then Giant fullback Steve Mathews rumbled over the Broncos' D for a score to make it 35-7. Another Allingham field goal gave the Giants 17 unanswered points in the third and the game was over. Final score 38-7 to the Giants. |
