| BRYN BOWEN AND THE SHALFONTS, HOME STRETCH, S.E.F - Hi. It's been a busy few months here at Giant Manilow. January saw the online release of 'The Luge vol.1'. The album is also now availabe on myspace and we just got the prints for the artwork from Greg Haines of S.C.C fame, so the physical release will be with you shortly. In February the new Bryn Bowen & the Shalfonts record 'Sturt Logic' hit the shelves. Get a load of the free download here or get in touch for a cd copy. On the Bryn Bowen Myspace right now you can also hear a song from the forthcoming Shalfonts album, 'Re-Enter the Zone' due summer 09. We're currently finalising details for the release of the Home Stretch's self-titled debut album, featuring guest spots from David Morris's Gentle Friendly and Noise Jordan. | S.E.F, HELL BROWN KIDS, LASTFM - Thanks for your patience with the S.E.F record. It is finished and ready to be released we're just finalising the artwork and the release date. In the meantime the last SEF EP (GM002) is now up for free download on their Lastfm page (www.lastfm.com/music/shocked+elevator+family). If you follow the 'listen' link above, you can also stream the new Bryn Bowen solo album (all 28 tracks of it) and the long out of print Yellobelly EP. | SUMMER RELEASES 2008 - Sorry it's been a while. The S.E.F record is now finished and will be out on Giant Manilow in the coming weeks. There are three songs posted up on the S.E.F MySpace (www.myspace.com/shockedelevator) right now if you want some previews. The last month or so has also seen the completion of Bryn Bowen's solo album which runs to 28 tracks, and E.Ps from The Hell Brown Kids and The Shalfonts. | STUDIO UPDATE - Recording for the new Shocked Elevator Family record is now well underway. So far around 8 songs have been recorded. A handful of those are basically finished, a few more need vocals, and they all need mixing but this first round of sessions should be wrapped up in the next week or so. So it's all starting to come together. Once the first lot of mixing is done we'll give you a preview of what's on the way. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| RECORDING NEWS - After a lengthy period of writing and demo-ing Shocked Elevator Family are heading over to Sunset Cinema Club's studio in Redditch in the next month to get the recording proper underway. Booking time has been proving a little tricky but the songs are sounding good and we hope to have the new record with you in the next few months.
