Iranian Scientists Produce A Human Embryonic Stem Cell Line.
Even the conservative Islamic nation of Iran produce human embryonic stem cells.

A few days ago, the Iranian News Agency reported that the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, received a team of medical scientists who lead the experiments to isolate human embryonic stem cells. The scientists were said to have successfully produced and frozen human embryonic stem cells for the first time in a Muslim country.

Ayatollah Khamenei, the Supreme Leader, called this achievement as a manifest of infinite talents of the Iranian nation and expressed his consent over such achievement.

He was reported to have said:

"The baseless thought of incapabilities should be completely eradicated from our culture. The Iranian nation has showed its talents and intelligence to the world during the history, and some great men like Farabi, Avicena are the well-known symbols of such talents."

Furthermore, the Ayatollah hailed the scientists and researchers as gifts from ‘God’ and appreciated their efforts.
