-----
Good evening to everyone in Canberra tonight.
I'm very sorry that I can't be there to accept this award but I'm actually on a plane on the way to the World Short Course swimming titles in Moscow, but I'd just like to say what an honour it is for me to receive this award.
It's been a fantastic year for me in 2001 and I'm hoping to continue it in 2002 but I'd just like to thank the Sports Industry Australia for putting on these awards, it's not very often we get recognised for what we do and it's fantastic that these awards have been put on, and in particular to IEA for their support of my particular award.
I'd just like to thank my coach Denis Cotterell and my family for all their support over these years and they've been there every step of the way and a big congratulations to Zara and Shermin on their achievements this year and I wish them all the best for the future.
So thankyou very much.
