Over the weekend the Annual Miami Meet was held.
Giaan entered the 100m Backstroke and the 200m freestyle in her last meet before the QANTAS Skins.
She took out the Backstroke in 1:04.79 just behind the record of 1:04.78 set by Joanne Meehan in 1995 with 2nd placed Belinda Nevell of the Commercial club finishing 1:07.36 in 3rd, also from Commercial, Abigail Carter finished in 1:09.94.
In the 200m freestyle fellow Miami team mate Katie Canning won in 2:02:22 eclipsing Susie O'Neill's record of 2:03.73 Giaan finshed 2nd in 2:02.31, also under O'Neill's old mark, Talitha Watson of Kingscliff was 3rd in 2:11.99.
