When I was a little girl, I had a kindergarten teacher named Cecilia Bishop. Her impact on me was so profound I have yet to forget a thing about her. She created a fire inside of me for teaching I will never be able to put out. Her love of her students and helping them in the discovery of learning will stay with me always. Education, to me, is perhaps the most important part of life. It is imperitive to a healthy and successful life. I, as a teacher, plan to aide my students in their learning processes by keeping an active interest and an active eye over my children. I will accomidate all my diverse learners by providing material for all three learning types. My lessons will be fun, hands-on experiences that will stick with my children even after the school day is done. As well as taking an active interest in my children, I will also take an active interest in their parents, having many conferences to talk with them about their child's progress and what they can do at home to help me in the classroom. I hold myself to the high standards involved with being a teacher and vow to not give up the hope that I will never let a child down. |
