| Summer Opportunities Bridgewater College - High School Leadership Academy The Zane D. Showker Leadership Institute consists of six days of leadership seminars and practical workshops led by Bridgewater faculty and local business leaders. Seminar topics include effective communication, teamwork, conflict resolution, creative problem solving and ethics in leadership. Come by guidance for more information. The Cambridge College Programme The Cambridge College provides a stimulating and rigorous course of study for qualified and well-motivated students The Programme stresses the needs of the indivudual student and provides an opportunity to explore subjects on the skill-building level where no prerequisites are required Many students apply for and receive high school and college credit for their coursework. The College of William & Mary The National Institute of American History and Democracy announces a residential summer program aat the College of William & Mary in which high school student earn 4 collegiate academic credits while studying on-site at the historic places and museums in Virginia. Course will be offered that study American History from Jamestown through the revolutionary War and a course that begins with the American Revolution and continues through the Civil War. Lebanon Valley College For 31 years, Lebanon Valley College has offered a one-week, non-credit program that enables exceptional high school students to preview college life. At the Daniel Fox Youth Scholars Institute, students come to campus to take an intensive workshop in the sciences, social sciences, or humanities choosing from 15 possibilities. Savannah College of Art and Design - Summer Programs 2005 Rising Star - June 18-July 23 Five week residential program for rising high school seniors offers a real college experience and 11 hours of college credit applicable to a baccalureate degree at SCAD or elsewhere. SCAD Summer Seminars Session I - June 26-July 2 Session II - July 10-16 Session III - July 17-23 High school freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors select from a variey of workshops for a week full of art, fun and friendship, in residence at SCAD. Housin, meal, suppies and activities are included. US Naval Academy Summer Seminar 2006 The Naval Academy Summer Seminar offers the opportunity for high school students about to enter their senior year to visit the Naval Academy for one week during the summer. Students will experience all aspects of the Naval Academy including the academic program, Physical training , and midshipamn life. Navy and Marine cops officers will present exciting opporunities available to those who choose a career of Naval Service. Midshipmen lead Summer Seminar in conjuction with active duty Navy and Marie Corps officers. More than 1800 students from around the world attend this fast-paced program each year.
