A little about me...

I am a friend of the couple who loves planning weddings... I have been planning my own since, well, probably since I was in the womb. I don't claim to know what I am doing, but I do so with great passion. I have collected much wedding information and many neat ideas over the years and am now beginning to put these kernels of knowledge to use, what with two of my close friends getting married this year. I am currently helping Christina and Rich out by making thier wedding favors, and as for Gabe and Chuck, well you get a sense from this web site all that I am trying to help them with! Gabe and Chuck are my guinea pigs, and if I find that I can handle the task as I expect, and that my ideas and input are well received both by the couple and by those attending the wedding, I may seriously lay down the huge fee to become a certified wedding planner and start my own business. I am planning on printing up business cards to leave at Gabe and Chuck's wedding (in a tasteful place, of course) and see what happens from there.
I also love designing websites. You can see my own personal site, and learn more about me if you so desire, at Brief Bus Stop.

How I Know the Couple...

Although I went to high school with Gabe, and Chuck, for that matter, they were both a couple of years ahead of me. I met Chuck when I was hanging out at the Golf Gallery, and one drunken night we all went to an after-hours party at a friend's apartment wherein Chuck decided to insult my intelligience, blatantly so. That did not go over well, and I lit into him. However, the next time I saw him, we got talking and I realized what a fun person he was to hang out with. And even more so, I realized what a good guy he was - how he would listen to what I was saying, and of course throw in a typical Chuck comment, but listen just the same. We started to hang out more and more, and he quickly became one of my closest friends.
I remember the first night Chuck "saw" Gabe, so to speak... He had always known of her because her friend Felicia has been dating Chuck's friend Pete for years... Anyhow, Dan, he and I decided to head to Touch of Texas one weekend night... Gabe was there with her girlfriends from work, and they recognized each other and talked for a brief bit. I remember Chuck saying how good Gabe looked, and how he had always thought she was "hot". I think there was another weekend after that where we ran into Gabe again at Touch of Texas and they talked some more. Then all of a sudden I got a phone call from Chuck saying that he had gone out with Pete and Felicia and Gabe was there as well, and the two of them hit it off...
And since then, it's been Gabe and Chuck... Initially, Gabe had no choice but to hang out with me as well, because I was always going out with them. She and I hit it off as well... Over time we became extremely close, and she is now one of my closest friends... At the St. Anthony's Bazaar we got talking and she mentioned that it feels like I have been in her life forever, and I feel the same way.
I love Chuck and Gabe, as a couple, and as individuals, and am so happy the two of them found each other and recognized what a special thing they have going and have chosen to spend the rest of their lives together...
It's been fun watching them grow as a couple, and it will be fun, and inspirational watching them grow as husband and wife. I am so thankful for the presence of both of them in my life...
