Part Eleven:

(They're back in Hiromi's lower city. The beeping on the map guider is beginning to take it's toll on Kananno as he's glaring at it, holding onto Koemi's waist as they drive forward. Koemi is humming a Beatle song, 'And I Love Her', while following the tracer of the call. Finally, they pull up to a stop in front of the ranch they'd been in earlier.)
Kananno: Hey. I remember this place.
Koemi: And I remember what Gonjen said about this place. Forty of them.
Kananno: (Hopping off the scooter) It's dark out. They'll all be awake, too. Let's just blow up the building and run like hell, kay?
Koemi: We can't do that. The report said they had a captive.
Kananno: (Shocked) What? What captive? Did they say who?
Koemi: Yep.
Kananno: Why am I always the last to know these thing? Who is it?
Koemi: Loki. She got kidnapped after we left for the hospital. (Turning to look at Kananno) Are you ok? I mean, you were beat up pretty bad. Are you too sore to fight?
Kananno: (Boldly) Never… (Normally) You know I'm lying, right?.
Koemi: Yes. Well, let's go save little Loki… If you need my help, just holler.
(Kananno and Koemi start towards the house. The door's been bolted shut, with a key lock as the only way to get inside. The patrol men of GH had done that after Kananno and Koemi's last experience. Koemi pulls a key off of her neck and inserts it into the lock. With a mechanical whine, the door opens for them. Inside the house, it's pitch black, the windows are now boarded up and bolted shut, allowing no light inside.)
Kananno: (A hushed whisper) This place looks like a friggen prison.
Koemi: (Shutting the door behind her and pulling out a small light stick) It is.
(Kananno shutters and follows Koemi into the living room. They look around a moment, until Kananno taps Koemi on the shoulder)
Kananno: (pointing) Is that what I think it is?
Koemi: (Moving her light to see) Yeah, that's Loki's insignia. She's in here.
Kananno: Why do I not have a good feeling about this?
(Suddenly a blinding light is pointed directly into Koemi and Kananno's face.)
Koemi: (Squinting and shielding eyes) Who's that?
Voice: Who's that? Kananno? Koemi?
Kananno: Loki, is that you?
Loki: Yeah, it's me.
Koemi: We're getting you out of here! (Heading towards the light) C'mon, Loki. Let's go.
Loki: (Almost teasingly) nope. I'm staying and you're staying.
Koemi: What? C'mon. This is no time to play Hero-girl. Gonjen said there are like forty creatures in here. Three of us can't fight off forty of them. We're kind of out numbered.
Loki: Forty one of them… and two of you.
Koemi: Loki. You're not making any sense. C'mon, let's just get out of here.
Kananno: (Stepping in front of Koemi) You were bitten weren't you? You're a vampire now.
Loki: (Disgusted) No.
Kananno: Then why did you join them?
Koemi: Kan, what the hell are you talking about? This is Loki. Our captain. Would you two please stop talking and let's get out of here?
(Suddenly all around Kananno and Koemi, the floor breaks apart and creatures start pouring out. There are 26 Vampires, 7 Zombies and 7 ghouls. They quickly surround them)
Loki: (Angrily) You little bitch. You two weren't supposed to get away from here last time. My minions were supposed to bite you (to Kan), and completely destroy you (to Koemi), you little bitch. But, of course, you ruined everything… Kan… there's still time. Come with me. We can become Meijing's loyal assistance! He's seen your work! He admires it. The prestige that you have… the loyalty! Please, Kan. We can be a husband and wife team! We'll kill off Koemi, (making quotes with fingers) narrowly escape and be Meijing's spy!
Kananno: Are you insane? That bastard killed my parents, Loki. He murdered my Father and tortured my mother till she died! He ripped their insides out, and hung them on display for me from the dinning room chandelier! My mother was still barely alive when I came home! She felt everything that jerk off did to her! I wouldn't work for him to save my God damn soul!
Koemi: (Softly to Kananno) You never told me that.
Kananno: (Seemingly unconcerned) You never asked.
Loki: Well, Kananno Cojo Jaijing, you wouldn't work for my Lord to save your soul. Damn, cause that's exactly what you would have been doing… (To the creatures around them) Kill the girl. Just maim the boy. Then bring him to my chambers.
(Almost instantly, as Loki turns her back and begins to walk away, the creatures charge, diving onto the two of them. She can hear their screams as the creatures attack them.
Once Loki is out of the room, Koemi manages to slide a small little cylinder out of her pocket. She's got three vampires on her and she can feel their claws ripping at her. She hits the single button on the cylinder and throws it across the room.)
Koemi: (painfully) Kan, Shield your eyes.
(There's no response, but in an instant, a brilliant white light permeates the room. All of the creatures scream out in pain and begin to melt. With in a matter of moments, the creatures are gone, and the light is beginning to dim. Koemi chances a quick peek through her fingers and sees Kan, curled up in a ball, hands over his eyes. All around them, is gooey green-yellow piles of rotting Vampire flesh, Yellow-white gooey piles of Zombie and black liquid from the ghosts. When the light finally starts burning like a candle, Koemi sits up.)
Koemi: Kan, are you ok?
Kananno: (Slowly moving his hands away from his face) Why do I go on these missions with you. Every time you almost get us killed. I'm running out of lives!
Koemi: Oh, stop blubbering and lets get the hell out of here.
Kananno: No objection here. (Pauses) What about Loki?
Koemi: We'll warn Gonjen about her. C'mon.
