My son Dave and his friend Larry was walking back from the store one day and nearly got run over by a bunch of guys out joy riding. Dave yelled at them to slow down before they ran over some kid. They stopped and came back and started a fight with Dave and Larry. A gun was pulled and Dave reacted and got the gun away from the guy and the fight was on....It was Dave and Larry against 4 or 5 guys. Well Dave broke his hand in the fight and lied to us about how he did it. He claimed that he broke it boxing with Larry in his front yard. We had no reason to doubt him cuz Larry lived about 4 doors up and we could see them out there boxing all the time. Well sometime after that I went outside one morning with my coffee to sit on the front porch and I noticed that someone had painted the street in front of the house with deep red paint in strange writing and an arrow pointing to the house. I got real curious about it and asked the kids what it meant, but they didn't know. I have to mention too that Dave looked a bit guilty when I asked, so it made me kind of suspicious. After seeing the writing in the road I kept getting these weird feelings like someone was snooping around the house and I would go out and look but no one would be out there. Every day something kept telling me that something bad was about to happen and I stayed on edge for almost 3 weeks. Then one night I went to bed but was unable to sleep. Every time I closed my eyes I heard this voice telling me to get up and go see, so I couldn't hardly sleep because of this little voice. I even woke up my my husband( at the time) and told him how I felt but he yelled at me to stop waking him up cuz he had to work the next day, so I left him alone but I would keep going to the window. Over time I heard this voice again....and the voice sounded panicky which made me feel that way too. Finally I fell asleep sitting on the couch just about 2 hours before it was time for Carmel ( my x husband) to get up. Well he got up and got ready for work and left only to come right back in the house screaming at our 2 sons, Steve and Dave to get up. He thought one of them dropped a cigarette in the back seat of the car and and caught the seat on fire...Man was he hot! Well he called work and told them he wouldn't be in and went to see if he could repair his car, it was then when he found a mollytoth cocktail ( which is a bottle filled with gas with a rag stuffed in the top and lit and used for a type of homemade bomb) had been thrown into his car but when whoever did that shut the door and the fire smothered itself out due to no oxygen. We called the police right away and they sent an officer out and he took a report and started to leave when Carmel stopped him and said is that all you're going to do? I want fingerprints taken he said but the officer left, not paying him any mind, so Carmel got back on the phone and called again and asked for the chief. In the meantime I was walking around the house looking at the flowers and discovered another mollytoth cocktail leaned up against the house and it too had been set on fire but gone out. This mollytoth was in a big 2 liter bottle and if it had exploded it would have set the house on fire and probably burned us alive. We really got scared then and the fire chief was called in to investigate and pointed the finger at my 2 boys which made me go off the deep end. Now why would the kids set their own house on fire? I said to him. The detective came out and took fingerprints and everything. Later that night Dave broke down and told me all about the fight he and Larry got into with the guys and that's was how Dave's hand got broke. He said that they were the gang called the bloods and that's why the red paint on the street. We had been marked for death, so to speak and that's why out house was hit. But thanks to our Guardian Angel the fire never got off to a good start and we were spared..... It was the voice that kept warning me but I had no idea what I was being warned about. Finding the mollytoth confirmed my worries and no one will ever convince me of anything different. We were being watched over that night.....NO DOUBT! By: Sue Cross |
