RHO GALAXY: BEAR ESSENTIALS
OVERVIEW
During Operation Revival, Rho Galaxy formed the core of the Ghost Bears'
homeworld defenses, mainly due to the losses Rho suffered in its attack against
the Hell's Horses on Niles in 3048. The entire Galaxy clashed with the Horses'
Alpha Galaxy in a Trial of Possession for Industriplex Alpha, the Horses' main
Battlemech production facility since losing Tokasha MechWorks to the Bears a
century earlier. Both sides suffered heavy losses in the fierce fighting, but
the Horses eventually repelled the Bear assault despite the loss of their Khan.
Ironically, Khan Seidman was succeeded by Malavai Fletcher, an Elemental wounded
in the battle with a grudge against the Bears and strong Crusader views.
Fletcher is a thorn in the Ghost Bears' side to this day.
Rho Galaxy's insignia is a white bear rearing up on its hind legs to attack, superimposed over a field of red and orange flames.
OFFICERS
TACTICS
Trinary Galaxy Command (Kabrinski's Keshik)
1 Trinary/Elite/Fanatical
CO: Galaxy Commander Michael Hawkins
Unlike the balance of the Galaxy, Kabrinski's Keshik consists entirely of heavy and assult machines. Galaxy Commander Hawkins uses his Keshik as a mobile reserve, as well as the vanguard of any major offensive operations. The keshik's insignia is a suit of battle armor made of fire, armed with a spear and shield.

243rd Battle Cluster (Apollo's Chariot)
4 Trinaries/Elite/Reliable

Last Known Location: Alshain
283rd Battle Cluster (Ursine Inferno)
4 Trinaries/Veteran/Fanatical
CO: Star Colonel Marcus Gilmour
Because three of the 283rd's Trinaries as Supernovas, enemies often underestimate the unit's true strength. The Inferno excels at urban defense. The Cluster insignia is a bear's head breathing fire on a blue star-shaped field.
Last Known Location: Susquehanna
297th Battle Cluster (The Burnout Brigade)
5 Trinaries/Veteran/Questionable
CO: Star Colonel Jak Snuka
The easygoing attitude of the 297th's commander is a tradition dating back to the unit's founding in the late thirtieth century. Known for excessive bouts of off-duty carousing, the "Burnouts" are nonetheless a force to be reckoned with on the battlefield, where they are all business. The unit insignia is a pair of burnt-out matchsticks crossed over a red star.
Last Known Location: Pinnacle
300th Battle Cluster (Roaring Phoenix)
4 Trinaries/Regular/Fanatical
CO: Star Colonel Kendric Ravenwater
Formed from the shattered remnants of the Forty-eighth Battle Cluster after the battle on Niles, the 300th remains an eager unit filled with the best of the new sibko graduates. After gaining battle experience, warriors are often transferred out of this unit to reinforce Rho's more prestigious units. The Cluster commander is a MechWarrior captured as a bondsman from the Hell's Horses on Niles. Though nearing the end of his career, his skills are impressive. The Cluster insignia is a burning phoenix superimpossed over a golden star.
