DELTA GALAXY: THE BLITZKRIEG

OVERVIEW
Less prestigious than Alpha Galaxy and featuring lighter units than Beta Galaxy, Delta Galaxy is the least favored of the Ghost Bear front-line Galaxies. When the invasion of the Inner Sphere resumed after the death of ilKhan Leo Showers, Khan Jorgensson led the Galaxy personally against the Eight Alshain Regulars and the Twelfth Sun Zhang Academy Cadre on Thessalonika. In one of the Galaxy's most serious losses, the Twentieth Polar Bear Attack Cluster was decimated in the Holth forest ambush on Tukayyid, and disbanded thereafter. This major reorganization may be the source of Comstar's occasional incorrect identification of Delta Galaxy units as belonging to the second-line Kappa Galaxy.

The insignia of Delta Galaxy is a running blue bear superimposed over crossed golden javelins of lightning.

OFFICERS
Delta Galaxy has always benefitted from excellent leadership, and Galaxy Commander Roberto Snuka is no exception. The only survivor of his sibko, he has gained a reputation for snatching victory from the jaws of defeat. He is struggling to rebuild his Galaxy to full strength after the losses inflicted on Tukayyid.

TACTICS
Unlike most Ghost Bear Galaxies, Delta has come to rely on its officers in the field. Without a significant force of Assault 'Mechs, Delta often counts on aerospace support to soften up the enemy.

Trinary Galaxy Command (Jorgensson's Keshik)
1 Trinary/Elite/Fanatical
CO: Galaxy Commander Roberto Snuka

This Keshik is a Trinary reinforced to five Stars, including Tango support Star, which consists of armored vehicles captured from the Hell's Horses. Though vehicles rarely appear in a Keshik, Delta is short on equipment, and the captured Epona and Athena tanks have proven effective in combat. The insignia of Jorgensson's Keshik is a black bear on a white shield, impaled on a silver spear.

Last Known Location: Kempten

8th Bear Cuirassiers (The Blinding Drive)
5 Trinaries/Veteran/Reliable
CO: Star Colonel Dana Vishio

This flexible Cluster is valued in part for its five Stars of OmniFighters, including a full Star of Kirghiz fighters known as The Black Wing. During Operation Revival, the Eight aided Beta Galaxy in hunting for the hated Black Omen mercenary company on Damien. Their insignia is a soldier mounted on a running bear, on a background of snow and lightning.

Last Known Location: Toffen

73rd Battle Cluster (The Lash)
4 Trinaries/Veteran/Fanatical
CO: Star Colonel Majorie DelVillar

Originally the 3rd Bear Striker Cluster, after losing nearly half its forces to aerospace attacks on Thule, the Cluster was retired. Prior to the fifth wave of the invasion, a new Cluster was created with reinforcements sent from the homeworlds. Formed around the core of the Third, the new composition of forces was designated the Seventy-third Battle Cluster. The Cluster insignia is a cracking whip on a star-shaped red field.

Last Known Location: Kempten

68th Striker Cluster (The Walking Panzers)
4 Trinaries/Veteran/Questionable
CO: Star Colonel Farn Jorgensson

Star Colonel Chou Vong commanded the Sixty-eight during Operation Revival, but his weak leadership and often questionable methods caused dissension in the ranks. After Tukayyid, aerospace pilot Farn Jorgensson defeated Vond in a Trial of Possession for his command. The unit insignia is a tank-like 'Mech on a green arrowhead-shaped field.

Last Known Location: Ardoz

115th Striker Cluster (The Rolling Waves)
5 Trinaries/Elite/Reliable
CO: Star Colonel Douglas Silva

The Rolling wave captured a full battalion of First SunZhang cadets on Tinaca, many of whom now serve the Cluster as MechWarriors. As demonstrated against the Fourh Arkab Legion on Eguilles, Star Colonel Silva often quickly swaps OmniMech pods to make his force appear larger than it is. The insignia of the 115th is a tidal wave inside a blue arrowhead.

Last Known Location: Vipaava

140th Striker Cluster (Death from Above)
4 Trinaries/Veteran/Reliable
CO: Star Colonel Boris Jorgensson

Boris was raised in the same sibko as Khan Bjorn Jorgensson. Boris voluntarily resigned his warrior status and tested as an aerospace pilot after he witnessed his sibmate's Trial of Position. Boris has gradually shifted more aerospace support to the 140th over the years, to its current strength of three Trinaries. Its two Binaries of OmniMechs are always configured with jump jets, and are well-trained in orbital drop procedures. The unit insignia is a diving red aerofighter on a black arrowhead.
