There Was Rain Knocking on his door,
She knew that it was over.
And she couldn't hide the pain in her eyes.
And the rain pouring down,
Couldn't hide all she felt,
And it couldn't mask the tears that she cried.

He saw her standing there,
Rain flowing through her hair.
And she opened her mouth to speak.
She said, "It's not you, it's me.
I'm ready for something more,
And I don't think it's something you can see."

And he said:
"There was rain,
When I realized I love you.
There was rain,
And I wanted to hold you,
And kiss you so hard,
You'd never let go."
(I didn't know)
(So please don't go)

She said:
"There was rain,
And you wanted to leave.
But you sat by my side,
And I wanted to cry.
And I still don't know what to do."
(I love you)
(What can I do?)

There was rain,
And they fell together.
There was rain,
And it couldn't be better.
With you by my side,
This just feels right, and I know,
You'll never go, away.
And I'll stay,
Loyal to you,
Through all that I do,
And I'll never forget...
(Again)
