The Holy War

Your war is not my war.
This is not what I was put here for.
I'm not made to fight against the poor.
I wasn't made to settle your score.
I'm not here for your holy war.

I'm not here just for you.
I can see your fighting, but for who?
Why are you after the peace that we grew?
Our cultivated happiness and hearts so untrue.
If you hate us so much then what's wrong with you?

I can't see why,
It's us you despise.
Where's your alibi?
Some people won't survive,
But I don't know why.

Children have lost both parents.
To me it seems apparent,
This hatred is inherent.
Your motives are transparent.
More children will lose parents.

So this is your dream, your holocost.
Your soul has been lost,
People have paid the ultimate cost.
All options we exhaust,
To prevent your holocaust.

So why are you at war?
What's wrong with you?
I still don't know why,
More children must lose parents,
Or why we are the target of your private holocaust.
